Do you like our offensive scheme???
I personally hate how the QB holds the ball or fakes the handoff for like 3 seconds...I also don't like how we look to the sidelines before every play...
on a side note i think we should have ran the ball more vs Utah...it seemed to be working, but we abandoned it, or for some reason we had the wildcat early in the game..
also the refs were terrible

And I don't think the refs were a problem.
Re: Do you like our offensive scheme???
Where the heck were you after the TTU win?
Re: Do you like our offensive scheme???
like the scheme, don't like the players playing the scheme.

agreed, not sure why we didnt just keep running the ball... it did get away from ISU quickly in the 3rd quarter so running was no longer an option. I think we should be running the ball about 60% of time.
Re: Do you like our offensive scheme???
Another troll...err...I mean new guy posing as a Cyclone fan. Sigh. It is usually the worst during "Iowa week", but it looks like a couple of their kids have decided to come over after a loss and have a little childish fun.
Oh, and AA and Arob run the read-option very well when healthy. The pause is AA reading the Defense and deciding to let ARob keep the ball or run it himself. Get a clue.
Re: Do you like our offensive scheme???
Love the scheme, Dont always like the timing of certain play calls, or the exucution of some play calls. For example, early in the game when we were running fairly well and we decided to get cute with the wildcat formation.

I think holding the ball was key even when we got down.
Utah's offense became more fluid when we turned the ball over quickly. Holding them to 10 points in the 1st Quarter, forcing a punt and getting a fumble gave us a 2 to 1 TOP advantage. When we got in a hurry things just kept getting worse.
When a team is that good forcing them to cool on the bench
causes them to lose their rhythm and puts Mo back on your
sideline.

Agree. We were actually getting a good push upfront at first, we needed to control the ball better, instead here we are running wildcat. We really should have pounded it at them more I thought and try to control the ball. Still would have gotten killed but I think down the road we have to control the ball and eat more clock to play with these teams.

Why? He is just wanting to debate our scheme. He doesnt like it.
Its not like our offense has been any good under Herman.
But, I'm going to give him more time before I decide one way or the other.

This is the best of his discussion threads. This one seems OK.
I'm up in the air about our scheme. Obviously, not very effective thus far, but I want to see if that's the players, scheme or coach.

Re: Do you like our offensive scheme???
319 yards offense to 428 yards defense in 2010.
I think we should have the offense that our opponents run.
319 yards is almost sinking to the days of 2003 for offense.
297 yards offense and 442 yards defense in 2003.
With five high powered teams left on our schedule, we could approach 2003 stats.
