Re: Still not sold on Oklahoma
The problem with Oklahoma allowing teams back in the game in the 2nd half is if we cannot hold them close in the 1st half.
A talented team coming off a bye and playing at home. It will be tough sledding from the get go.

ISU will not get killed, I actually see this game tight going into the fourth quarter.

Oklahoma is down on D this year and ISU can score points on them, but on the other hand Oklahoma is going to score a lot as well. This is a great post hawkeye scott!!! It shows what I am talking about. Both Oklahoma and ISU have played tough schedules, with ISU's being tougher, but statistically they are not far off. It isn't like OU has been dominating at home this year either.
OU could very well come off their bye refreshed and looking to make a point and curb stomp us but they don't look like the dominating OU that we have seen in the past.
Again, I am not predicting anything but a loss. But my point is OU was nothing more than an 8-5 team last year and they have done nothing to prove they are a BCS championship type team this year.

I don't think I am being delusional when I say you can steal one of these two games...
Just please stop with the absolute negative statements and try a "I think it's not probable, but definitely possible"... I would agree with you if we were at Texas or Oklahoma was at Jack Trice.
Unfortunately Okie is all but unbeatable at home. Stoops is something like 66-2 in Norman and has the longest home winning streak in the nation.
You can almost make "losing in Norman" a college football rule. Teams just do not win there.

Or OU could come off their bye rusty like Utah was in the 1st quarter, maybe even the entire first half... It's possible!! -

Oklahoma is kind of the antithesis of Utah right now. Won a lot of close games against pretty good competition, but not looked very good doing it.
Of Oklahoma, Texas, and Nebraska, I'd say we have the best chance against Oklahoma, because they have apparently a much weaker defense than Texas or Nebraska. However, we won't score a ton so we'll probably need to keep Oklahoma under 30 to even have a chance.
As the Ute fan said, not probable, but definitely possible.

Utah>FSU
Iowa>Texas
KSU=Air Force
Utah St>NIU
Cincy>UNI
Rankings tend to back tha up. You could probably switch Utah St and Cincy but it wouldn't matter. Plus we played UNI with our back up QB.

You can almost make "losing in Norman" a college football rule. Teams just do not win there. Air Force almost won there this year, they lost bye 3. Utah State almost won there in 2010, they lost by 7.
I could probably almost guarantee that Oregon, Stanford, Boise, TCU, Utah, Nevada, Oregon St., Arizona and Cal would win there based on those 2 games.
OU struggled with Texas... UCLA the 9th best (worst) team in the Pac-10 decimated Texas @Austin. Officially, UCLA and Wash. St are the only two teams out of Pac-10 title contention, WSU being slightly worse.

Re: Still not sold on Oklahoma
See I think we have a better shot against Texas. They have no running game, will likely be coming off a complete rout in Lincoln, and will be on a three game skid.

And I wish daisy-chaining like that was a legit way to look at things. But it doesnt work like that. It doesnt take into account a whole host of factors.
