Looks like we played better in the Iowa game than the Utah or Okie game.

We actually now have a bigger differential between offense average and defensive average yards per game than we did in the awful 2003 season.

    2003:.......................... Offense Defense
    Average Per Game............ 297.5 442.6
    2010: Average Per Game 307.6 455.3

I don't know why people don't understand this. Bigger, stronger, faster, and at tonight at home. Texas will be the same way next week and our Clones will be fortunate to score.

PR needs 6 or 7 years. I know you don't want to hear it, but that is reality. We are not in the WAC.

Last year's team would have gotten smoked in Norman or Austin just as bad as this team. If you recall last year's team got smoked by OSU and Iowa as well. Last year's team had a MUCH easier schedule.

Iowa State is not at the point where they can compete with these teams. We literally have zero chance against a team like OU right now unless they completely melt down. Anyone that didn't know that coming into this game was fooling themselves. Maybe some day we will get there if we give PR time, but not today and there will be more beat downs between now and whenever our day in the sun is. But it will come, we just have to stay the course.

I will be in Austin next week, and I know it won't be good, we just aren't there yet. But I will be there nonetheless and probably at several more beatdowns before our day comes... but someday the Clones will make a big step and take one of these teams down.

You understand. We are competing with teams that are in the same ball park as us, so far that has been KSU and Texas Tech. We have also lost to teams in a bigger ball park, being Iowa, Utah, and Oklahoma. It is going to be a process where we have to beat the teams that are comparable with us and slowly move up the ladder.

I think the problem here is that we were shutout and looked like a scout team. The worst team in the country, Washington St, has looked competent the last two weeks against Oregon and Arizona. SEC bottom feeder Kentucky just beat South Carolina, Illinois can push Ohio State, etc, but when Iowa State takes the field with a team with a # in front of its name, it ***** the bed.

Fairly true. Game again was over at halftime and our best player was the punter.

True, but Illinois is a lot better than people think. They pushed OSU and did the same to MSU today. That was a 6-3 game at half. Plus they beat PSU in Happy Valley. Minnesota would be a better example, who lost to NIU...

Minnesota, for as terrible as they have been, has not been blown out once this season. 23-41 to Wisconsin is their worst loss.

I'm having trouble thinking of other teams that are just incapable of even competing with the top teams in their conference like we are. Wake Forest is competitive in the ACC. Even Vanderbilt has knocked off ranked SEC teams before. The gap between Oklahoma/Texas and us must be one of the largest differentials in any BCS conference.

I'd love to see Paul Rhoads get to a bowl game this season. It'd seriously be quite a feat.
