Injuries
How many guys left the game today from injury? It seemed like just about every other play in the second half we had a guy down on the field or limping off.
Anyone have any idea if any were serious?
Hopefully we can get everyone back for next week.

Re: Injuries
I don't think I've ever seen so many guys go down. I didn't look like any of them were very serious, but I could be wrong.

Re: Injuries
Darks' injury looked pretty bad. Could have just gotten the wind knocked out of him though.

Re: Injuries
Didn't he go back in? Or, was I just seeing things...
That's what I was thinking, he got the wind knocked out of him. He took a pretty big hit to the back.

Re: Injuries
I could have sworn, on the replays I saw, that Darks caught that ball. The two angles that I saw (maybe there were more that I missed) looked like he caught the ball, got hit, hit the ground and then the ball popped out.

Re: Injuries
Our guys, are very very tired. We are so shallow at so many positions and it's catching up. Little injuries and little dings mean a lot more in this situation.

Re: Injuries
I never saw Darks in the game again. I didn't watch much of the fourth quarter though.

Don't you have to maintain possession of the ball after hitting the ground?

You have to maintain possession only if you are untouched by an opponent, ie. diving for the ball, then you must catch, hit the ground and maintain possession.

You have to maintain possession only if you are untouched by an opponent, ie. diving for the ball, then you must catch, hit the ground and maintain possession. You have to establish possesion before hitting the ground. It's very objective really.

Re: Injuries
It sure looked like Darks managed to catch that ball. I hope he's okay though. It looked like he was wincing as he was breathing. I hope he didn't crack any ribs.

Re: Injuries
It was very, very clear in the replay that he caught the ball, and then consciously flipped it out of his hand. Why? Probably because he just wanted to let go and roll over on his back cause he was hurting. You can see that he catches, gets hit, hits the ground, and then moves his arm. It wasn't in one motion, it was segmented, so clearly on purpose. He just did it too quickly, and because he got hit so freaking hard, the idiot refs called it an incomplete.
All that ranting aside, hope he's doing alright..

Re: Injuries
Sounds like Parker suffered another potential serious knee injury. -
Re: Injuries
My buddy said DD is fine.

Re: Injuries
I also thought Darks caught that ball. I couldn't believe they didn't review it.
The ball came out after he was already down.
I too, hope he's alright.
