So do the fans of the 11 other schools in conference. The problem is, most of their schools are currently winning or have a history of winning, so they're going to get priority on that 2:30 start time. If ISU wins big and wins consistently, we'll start getting televised at that start time as well. Until then, we can pound rocks as far as the networks are concerned.

A&M/Tech currently listed as 2:30 PM start time, but I imagine that could change. FCS has done 2:30 PM and then 6:00 PM telecasts in the past.

Even if it was on FCS, ISU gets zero money from TV appearances on that channel. Exposure yes, but no money.

My bet is still with the fact that not a single TV network even wanted to put this game on TV. Why would they want to waste their resources?

Here is the deal on this.

FCS does not pay for games. They were interested in picking this game up but in all likelihood, had Iowa State elected to televise the game, it would have been a 6 p.m. kick. Iowa State chose to go without the television to get the 1 p.m. kick.

This is per athletic department officials.

Hopefully, the 1 PM kickoff time does positively impact attendance. I'll be there either way.
