So, we give up the potential exposure (even as small as it might be on FCS) to satisfy the fanbase. There are 2 Big 12 games that were not picked up by the normal TV slots, ISU/KU and A&M/Tech. FCS was never going to choose the ISU/KU game...

The problem is, most of their schools are currently winning or have a history of winning, so they're going to get priority on that 2:30 start time. If ISU wins big and wins consistently, we'll start getting televised at that start time as well. Until then, we can pound rocks as far as the networks are concerned.

A&M/Tech currently listed as 2:30 PM start time, but I imagine that could change. FCS has done 2:30 PM and then 6:00 PM telecasts in the past.

My bet is still with the fact that not a single TV network even wanted to put this game on TV. Why would they want to waste their resources?

It's more just the principle of the whole matter.

It's more just the principle of the whole matter. ISU is just trying to spin the fact that no networks wanted to pick this game up.

Re: Kansas Gametime set for 1pm.
Do we really need to find something else to complain about? Let's not have a meltdown thread over the start time of the KU game and the lack of TV coverage. Please.

Pretty please with a riot on top?
Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy -
Re: Kansas Gametime set for 1pm.
Here is the deal on this.
FCS does not pay for games. They were interested in picking this game up but in all likelihood, had Iowa State elected to televise the game, it would have been a 6 p.m. kick. Iowa State chose to go without the television to get the 1 p.m. kick.
This is per athletic department officials.

This is per athletic department officials. Hopefully, the 1 PM kickoff time does positively impact attendance. I'll be there either way.

This is per athletic department officials. Wow, JP has $$$$ in his eyes at all times, winning breeds attendance to some point.
