Kansas Gametime set for 1pm.

Attendance will be higher simply because it is Homecoming. The 1:00 kickoff will have nothing to do with the higher attendance. In fact, most people I know prefer night games.

attendance is not going to be great no matter what...unless we upset Texas. The tv issue is not that big of deal.

1pm will still max attendance that day, I just don't think it will be anything impressive (40k or so). A 6pm start would have pushed it under 40k for sure I think.

This may be the most non watched game of the day if it had been on TV. A #54 vs. a #125 for the cellar marbles.

Most ISU fans prefer 1pm or 2:30pm.

I doubt that. ISU and KU having 8-0 records coming into this game would max out the attendance as far as it could be maxed out...

If attendance isn't going to be great "no matter what", then why on earth would we choose NOT to have the game televised? What do we lose by having our team play on TV where out of state alumni and player's family and friends can watch?

Obviously JP thinks this will improve attendance substantially, or he wouldn't of done it. I hope he is right.

Also, to whoever was hoping for a 2:30pm Nebraska game, you better keep dreaming. No chance ABC puts that game on that day. Unlikely to be an evening game either given temps. This game is destined for 11 or 11:30am if it is to be on TV (most likely) or 1pm if not.

Maybe most that you talk to. Most that I talk to prefer night games. Now, just because we prefer night games doesn't mean we won't attend the other games...it's just a preference.

I said...attendance will not be great no matter what. I can tell you that a night game on the 30th would draw quite a bit less,

Agree 100%.

Ive been nagging on attendance all year, but after the last two games, I can understand why people wont show up the rest of the season.

Actually, you can't tell me that. No one can. You can speculate, and you may be right. That is obviously what the AD is thinking as well.

I'm not disagreeing with the decision, my point was that people better get out to this game on the 30th, especially those who complain about night games. If they don't, then we've just needlessly passed up on an opportunity for more TV exposure.
