Yeah, you "worked" with the TV networks to have them exclude this game. LOL! You act like TV networks were lining up to air two teams which were outscored a combined 111-7 last weekend.Quote:
Iowa State's Oct. 30 Homecoming game against Kansas will kickoff at 1 p.m. ISU worked with its Big 12 television partners to exclude this game from television in order to have a 1 p.m. afternoon start for Homecoming.
Finally! A day game!

Unbelievable. We are now giving up television appearances so that we get more fans to come.
Wow - I thought I would never see another 1:00 start. This is my favorite time to start a game - I hope after 3 straight games of beat downs we can get fans to the game.
Where is the quote from?
Don't care about the TV, I was planning on going to this game. 1PM is great!
What's unbelievable is that our fanbase is so fickle that we give up what was most likely a 6 PM FCS appearance so that people would stop complaining about night games. Pollard admitted several complaints about the late start times.
So, we give up the potential exposure (even as small as it might be on FCS) to satisfy the fanbase.
It can be if your trying to get as much exposure nationally as you can.
College football all about money and that means getting on TV as much as possible. I'm going to guess that attendance is going to be between 40-44k (more on the lower end) based on the fact that were playing a bad kansas team and fans are probably upset with the score of the last few games. This is just my guess, but I would then conclude that the time of the game does not matter giving my assumptions. Therefore, we should have tried to get on TV no matter what the time of day.
I was going to be upset since kick off is in the middle of the Rally to Restore Sanity / March to Keep Fear Alive on the National Mall... but seeing as how it isn't on TV anyways, I guess it just doesn't matter.
I was kinda hoping to make a double date of it though... (Rally followed or preceeded by the Alumni game watch)
Can't say I'm really suprised at the no TV though...
