. . . . Irving ultimately chose to accept a scholarship to play at Iowa State. His reasons were extensive, including the school's solid academic reputation (Iowa State has the highest graduation rate in the Big 12). Irving also noted the stadium is named after Jack Trice, the first African-American to play football at Iowa State. "There is a lot of tradition, and I want to be part of that in the future," Irving said.
Monday, CPR said they're recruiting only DE's at least 6-foot-3 now and in the future. The two 2011 DE commits, Irving and Lemke, are 6-8 (a tad under) and 6-4. We're on our way, I believe that. (IIRC, Elliott recruited Irving. Jack Trice is a hero of mine, it's overwhelmingly cool that David Irving took special notice of JT.)
My apology to Devin Lemke. Haven't had a chance to google him yet. Anyone have links for him? He looks like a fine DE prospect, too.
