Enjoy tonight! Because the central Iowa media will get back to undermining anything positive associated with I-State athletics...

Wonder if KXNO's new morning crew will be status quo (hawkeye) or will they give ISU at least 1/6 of the local sports talk show pie?

My guess would be probably not, but I'll remain hopeful...

Wonder if Matt has decided who to attack this week. Will it be the team? The fans? Or the administration? He seems to be on a rotation.

I'm guessing the main themes this week will be how a 4-win ISU team won't make a bowl and a 5-win Iowa team should still make the BCS.... gotta love the way the local media spins this crap.

I have 2 daughters; a three-year-old and a one-year-old. They cry a lot. And this post made me think of that.

Giggles will undervalue the ISU victory by ripping Texas and talking about how the Big 12 is down this year.

Then Ken will talk about how Iowa was the way better team and they'll still win out and go to the Rose Bowl

FWIW, I think we get fairly balanced coverage around here. However, I don't listen to KXNO so they don't count for me. Sean Keeler is the ony local media person that really rubs me the wrong way.

Having lived in the Quad Cities most of my life, I'm not used to ISU getting any coverage at all. For a long time, the homepage for the QC Times had links to two or three college sports stories on it, then a link that said "More College Sports". When you clicked that link it took you to hawkeyesports.com.

I wish Jon and Steve still had their show. I'd love to hear Jon try to spin Wisconsin's O-line pushing that Iowa vaunted defense all over the field

I was kind of hard on Jon last week when he lost his big ten gig. I'd be ok with jon if we had a solid ISU guy to balance him out. Jon knows his football...

Deace is just too much of a queen, not sure why so many like him...

I moved from the QC 6 years ago, while living there you wouldn't even know that there was a team in Ames except for ISU stuff I had. Don't even think you can easily find the game on radio over there let alone call in shows, etc. Ya it does suck that the coverage in central ia is about 50/50 good v bad, but it is coverage.
