I think that last TD for Texas should not of counted
after watching the replay of the game, I think when the WR from Texas was falling back down his hand or arm landed 1st out of bounds....
It was pretty close but I am pretty sure arm landed out of bounds 1st...

I thought this at first, but after I saw the replay I'm pretty sure it was legit.

You should be the the guy that reviews the plays.
Re: I think that last TD for Texas should not of counted
He was in. his hand and arm both came down in bounds.
Re: I think that last TD for Texas should not of counted
They showed the replay on Saturday 3 or 4 times. His elbow was down in the endzone, and an elbow is as good as a knee.
Re: I think that last TD for Texas should not of counted
I was ****** that A-rob didnt get the touchdown at first. But now I'm happy cuz it took more time off the clock.
Re: I think that last TD for Texas should not of counted
The broadcast view didn't look in. They showed the replay from that angle a couple of times and I was convinced he wasn't in, but there were two other cameras that clearly showed that his arm was in.

At least he's watching the plays.

Now I have a question...
Would it have been an incomplete pass if LJ (or whoever was on him) picked him up in midair and carried him out of bounds before any part of the Texas WR's body touched inbounds?

The force out does not count as a catch. So, if somehow LJ could have magically caught him and threw him out-of-bounds then I say NO CATCH.

Good question. I wouldn't expect the associative property to apply, though.

He would have to be in the air, catch the ball, and still be in the air when he got pushed out.Not sure if the defender would have to be inbounds or if it would matter. But he would have to give the reciever that split second to catch the ball before contact-unless they're both going for the ball....Never have figured out how that rule works.

3 days to review the call and you still got it wrong.

I didn't see much of the game, but from what I gather, if the WR jumped into the air to catch the ball and the ISU defender "caught" him in mid-air and ushered him out of bounds before any part of the WR hit the ground, it would be an incomplete pass.
The NFL used to have the "Well, he woulda/coulda came down inbounds" but I don't think they do anymore...I'm thinking it was always black and white in CFB. Either you're in or you're out.
