Franklin uncharacteristically dropped several balls saturday. I'm sure he'll rebound, but we went to him a few times early on, and he just wasn't on this week at all.

Arnaud's stat sheet wasn't a hell of a lot different than it was for the OU game, but there are two things that aren't being mentioned, and that's 1) 4 YPC and 2) the timing of his big plays. He was pretty clutch saturday. That toss to Lenz was 3rd and a mile. Sure nice to get a TD there instead of a field goal.

It seemed like Franklin was pretty well covered most of the game. As the season has progressed I think a lot of teams have noticed he is the go to guy much of the time. He also laid out for a few and didn't come up with them. Not sure if those are being counted as drops, but they probably shouldn't.

We just had some HUGE catches this game though. Lenz went all out for the TD, Money was precisely on the same page as AA for his TD, and JWill made a great catch on 3rd and a mile. Any one of those could have turned the game. I think the Williams catch for the first down (that was fumbled out of bounds) was huge. If we had been forced to punt, the momentum could have shifted completely.

One time we were backed up, AA threw a bad ball or Franklin would have had about a 30 yarder over the middle.

    To add to your points

    1. REceievrs were gtting open
    2. Receivers made big plays

I have been critical of the WR corp but they came up big. Big catches on big plays. Coming back to the ball in pressure situations, etc. That is all I have been saying. They just need a couple plays a game. With this team, that is the difference. 2-3 plays can change the game

Re: Reynolds moves ahead of SJ

Our 2 best offensive performances have featured big plays by the receivers. If they can get open the rest of the season like they did saturday, I think the offense will do great.

Also, you can't say enough about our O-line play. They were fantastic for the most part. Texas was BFS, but our guys opened holes. A-Rob, AA, and Woody were all effective carrying the ball.
