tough schedule - more money?
I am guessing our TV revenue share will be up some this year. Given our tough schedule, we have had a lot of national televised games. Just speculating, don't know facts, but that would be a nice boost. We have had 7 of 8 games on national TV, and with Nebby and Mizzou left, I'm guessing that will be 9 of 12.

Not so much. FCS games get us no money, nor do Mediacom games.

I don't know what channel the home games were on as I was there in person. Also was at the Iowa game and can't remember that one, but I know it was NOT FCS.

Iowa - ABC
--------
Tech, Utah - FCS
UNI - Mediacom
5 of 8 games on networks that pay.
The campaign starts now. November 6, 2012. -

Last year we had ABC
OSU FSN
iowa
Nebraska Versus
Kansas FCS
Kansas St NFL
Minny
This year we have had ABC/ESPN 2
iowa FSN
NIU
Oklahoma
Texas Versus
None FCS
Utah
Texas Tech Mediacom
UNI
I would guess revenue would be up due to one extra game on FSN unstead of Versus. keep in mind the season is not over. WE could almost guarantee the Nebbie and missouri games will be on and if ISU is fighting for bowl eligibility, the CU game should be on as well.

5 of 8 games on networks that pay. So what is a FSN game worth anyway? You would think the ESPN/ABC game was a nice payday as that is about as high-profile a broadcast as you can get unless your name is Notre Dame.

Re: tough schedule - more money?
winning = more butts in seats
winning = more future TV Exposure
schedule more non conference cup cakes to boost that winning %, at least in the short run till we have the horses to compete with anyone week in and week out.
Hopefully it won't matter, but Utah could be the difference in a bowl game this year - just think with Directional State in its place, we would be playing for bowl eligibility vs KU!

Probably because only 1% of the nation gets that channel, so they don't make enough advertising money to pay the teams and still make a profit. That's my guess.
