Re: Winning the Big 12 Title.
Hopefully it isn't a Brewster-esque promise.
However, with the Big 12 now at 10 teams, how would the Big 12 title work out? Similar to the Big 10 currently, where you can have 2 (or potentially more) champions?
What I want to see is an Iowa-Iowa State Fiesta bowl matchup, as unlikely as that maybe. Would we play for the Cy-Hawk trophy again? Would people actually watch this game outside the state of Iowa and any fans outside the country? And why do I have so many questions?

NO that is the last thing I want to see. What I would like is for ISU to go to the fiesta bowl and Iowa stay home for the holidays.

With 10 teams we are playing a round-robin schedule, so everyone plays each other and there will only be 1 conference champion because everyone will play head to head. The big 10(11) doesn't play a round-robin schedule and hence you can end up with something stupid like two conference champions...
And you will never see an Iowa/Iowa State match-up in a bowl game as long as we play each other in the regular season. The people in charge of the bowl game would never invite two teams to play each other that have already played once that season...
