Why no ISU/KU line yet?
Just curious but this is one of the only games not to have a line yet. Anybody know why?

Re: Why no ISU/KU line yet?
There is a line out there that Marty brought up on his show yesterday.
ISU favored by 14.

I heard 14.5 on KXNO yesterday. Haven't look online yet.

I don't think they know for sure yet.

Re: Why no ISU/KU line yet?
The computers keep kicking out the ISU by 76.5 line. They are working on an override.
Nothing to see here mods. Keep moving. -
Re: Why no ISU/KU line yet?
Seriously have we ever been favored by 14 points to another Division 1 team. It had to be like 20 years ago.
Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

Re: Why no ISU/KU line yet?
I thought I had read on here that their qb situation was somewhat up in the air at this point. Maybe not.

So do you think that 14 point line assume they are playing their first string, or their 3rd string? Their second string had a concussion so I have to assume he is out for sure.

Re: Why no ISU/KU line yet?
Supposedly down to their #4 QB now... Gill presser is this afternoon. KUSports
D.J. Beshears and Deshaun Sands will be serving one-game suspensions for violation of team rules. #kufball

Re: Why no ISU/KU line yet?
The reason is the uncertainty about the Kansas QB situation (and possibly additional roster "unknowns").
The spread that Marty mentions (and Chris reports) is a number released by the Las Vegas Sports Consultants (LVSC). This information is not available free to the public, but you can subscribe to their service to receive their lines, which I assume Marty does.
LVSC is an independent company that does the research that most casinos use to set their initial lines. Any movement in the lines after that is based on the money that comes in on either side. A casino's goal is even money on each side, thus, guaranteeing profit on the "juice".
What has likely happened is that the LVSC has released their initial line, but the casinos are waiting for more info on the Kansas QB situation before opening the game up for betting. It's not a game they are likely to see a high volume on, anyway, so waiting a couple days is worth it to get it right.

Sands and Beshears are their running backs. Webb and Pick who are both dinged up are the QB's. If Sands and Beshears are out ISU better beat KU by 50 they have no offense left.
