Ebertowski Article

As for making the decision whether or not Ebertowski would make a D-I caliber defensive back, aren't many coaches in D1 BCS football better at making that evaluation than Paul Rhoads and Bobby Elliott.

Compared to Ebertowski, Hill shows much more ability to change direction and run between the tackles. Imagine how much better he'll be by his senior year. Hope we can get him.

I don't know why UNI doesn't recruit the state heavily in season. I would guess that they got sick of losing kids to Iowa and ISU with late offers. I would be shocked if UNI doesn't offer Ebertowski, Unless he gets a D1 offer before then.

I wouldn't be shocked if UNI doesn't offer Ebertowski. Farley didn't offer Jeff Woody.

A school like UNI would be perfect for Ebertowski. He could take half a football scholarship and half a track scholarship and be an all-american in two sports.

The kid is obviously not D-1A material, and may not even be D-1AA material seeing as how he only has 2 offers and one of them is not UNI. The kid sounds like a spoiled baby who thinks stats is all that matter.

Is the question about why Barkley Hill was offered so early? He was in ISU's camp this summer. Obviously the coaches saw something that they really liked.

Iowa State did offer him after seeing him in the summer camp, both Iowa and Oklahoma have also shown some interest in him as well. He should come out to be at least a 3-star recruit, potentially a 4-star... Good to get an early offer in to an in-state guy that the coaches obviously saw something in!

What are you talking about? The kid just said he hasn't gotten any D-1 offers. What's wrong with you?

Talking about Hill, I presume.

I have seen Hill play in person (more than once) and have serious reservations as to why he was offered. He has shown little that would suggest he should be. He's not that fast, but is powerful. Perceived attitude is very questionable. Maybe he's better on the field. I've sat on the Cedar Falls bleachers during games and the fans are disappointed in the way he plays. Ex: He fumbles alot and doesn't concentrate. Sat next to the JV players and they are indifferent with him as a person. A high school star usually is looked up to and he is not. These are obsevations only and I do not know anything about Barkley personally or as a team player. Maybe he is worthy of a scholorship. I hope he is!

In the games I've seen, he is not.

I was told after he played 2 tougher 4A programs in Ankeny and Urbandale, the physical part wore him down because he hadn't been hit like that at all comin from the conference they play in....my guess D 2 or a D 1 walk on.
