I don't know why we haven't offered him. It has to be something outside of football. If it's not, then I think we are making a huge mistake. He could play pretty much anywhere other than either line.
He must have pretty bad hips to be that size with good speed and not get offers as at least a safety. He is bigger and faster than O'Connell and Sandvig were coming in.
I'll be the first to say it, if he wasn't white he'd have multiple offers - off-the-field issues or not.
*edit -Ah, I see they did bring it up later in the article.

I seriously cannot believe they played the race card.
He's racking up stats, but against what they admitted was weak competition.
He will probably end up changing positions.
If I were ISU I would wait him out too and get him to walk on like Woody. Then see if he can hack it against real competition or if he needs to switch to D. Maybe walking on to the team and having to earn his spot would get his head straight.
They compared him to Rex Burkhead, a 4 star stud who tore up competition in Texas and had tons of offers.
Sorry, not every white running back who gets a lot of yards is the next Toby Gerhart.
Sounds like attitude really is a factor from that article and that's not including any unkown off the field issues. They make it sound like he is being discriminated against and there couldn't be any reason that BCS schools don't want him.
Maybe because after looking at this picture, it's obvious that he's in his mid to late 40's by now.

He does look like a total doof. Anyone know how he does in the classroom? All that article talked about was his stats against a week conference and presumably hand timed track numbers.
