Blitz. Blitz alot.
Blitz. Blitz alot.
That doesnt mean we cant show up. Had Oklahoma not shown up we wouldve had a chance. But if we're prepared, we should destroy this team.
KU is also missing suspended WR Deshaun Sands. He hasn't done much as a receiver, but I believe that he is the guy that they like to go with when they run the Wildcat formation.
On another note - we can't take this team lightly. Anyone can beat anyone else on a given day. What was the "sagarin spread" between us and Nebraska last year? Oh yeah, and half our team was sick and our starting QB and RB didn't play, and it was on the road, and we hadn't beaten them there in 30 years, yadda yadda yadda. Long story short, let's just be prepared for war and if it happens to turn into a slap fight, so be it. At least we show up to the slap fight with a bazooka!
I just remember when we knocked out the "stud" Missouri QB and were leading the game and in comes the backup to rally MU to the victory (Chase Daniels)....Since then I am forever scared by back up qb's
KU did beat Georgia Tech. I also doubt that talent wise there is that much of a difference between our two rosters. I am sure KU looks at this as a winnable game for themselves. We also have a key injury in Ben Lamaak among other guys on our team that our banged up. We need a win here badly. I would seriously be happy with a 1-point win in this one. Just win! Go Cyclones!!! Beat KU!!!
I really don't think this ISU team will be overcondfident in any game this year. Rhoads is too smart. He already told the media that no member of the ISU team has ever beaten the Jayhawks. Thats motivation enough. Lets go out a throttle these guys. Play smart. Play loose. Play our game.
I have faith in the coaching staff to keep our players focused and ready to play.
We should handle this team but strange things have happened in the past and we can take nothing for granted.
Hopefully we take care of business and allow some of our starters to rest a lot of the second half. It is certainly a "trap" game after the big win last week and a huge game the following week with the Huskers.
I was afraid of this. ISU will have no idea what kind of offense KU will run now. This Quinn Meacham might be the next Colt McCoy or something and ISU will be blind to him. He had a Kansas, Virginia, and Utah State offer out of juco and was ranked as a top 50 juco in the nation. Rivals ranked him as the #2 juco QB in the country last season behind only Cam Newton. He threw for 5,000 yards and 65 TD's in juco.
This will either be great news because he is absolutely terrible or the kid becomes the next Chase Daniel.
I don't care who is back there, we need to play like it's Joe Montana back there.
