Re: Liberty Mutual's Coach of the Year!
Why would you bump this thread. We lost this game. Coaches do not get coach of year for calling gutsy plays, rather converting gutsy plays. Thats how it works. Damn glad we have Rhoads, but coach of year?

Re: Liberty Mutual's Coach of the Year!
Yes, have you seen the way he gets the players to play? I think he deserves it. More than anyone else on the list anyways.

Re: Liberty Mutual's Coach of the Year!
Okay, if ISU is able to knock off Missouri and finish in a tie for second in the conference with Mizzou (which technically will give ISU second place in the league due to the tie breaker of head-to-head performances), does Rhoads get Big 12 COY honors.
I thought Pinkle would be the logical choice before the two losses. I can see Gundy or the Baylor coach as well. And will any of the league coaches vote for Pelini?
And the Big 12 coaches and media all predicted ISU to finish dead last in the North. As it may turns out, ISU can finish with a better record than Texas, who may just finish dead last in the Big 12 South.

Damn glad we have Rhoads, but coach of year? Because this is just a poll to make him a finalist, and if we don't vote early and vote often then we'll never push him to the top. This is an easy and free way to get publicity. People refusing to vote need to lighten up.

Re: Liberty Mutual's Coach of the Year!
he is still one hell of a coach. it doesn't matter what your teams record is, it's what kind of a person they are, how likable they are, if they get their players to play, etc

Good grief, cycfan, it's a nothing poll. What I don't understand is why a fan of the program doesn't want good things to happen to the program -- even if it is a nothing poll.
