Upon further review, you are correct. I suppose that will teach me for trying to read it while going 80 mph down a busy interstate.

"Since 2009, in the 21 games under Rhoads and Burnham, the Cyclone defense has forced 51 turnovers (roughly 2.5 per game.) Here are the national rankings for turnovers forced during that time-span:
1. Ohio State-56 2. Iowa State-51 3. Oregon-50 4. Alabama-48"

This pleases me greatly. What we lack in depth and "talent" we make up for in tenacity and smarts.

From the stats I see, Iowa State is giving up 204 rushing yards per game, for 108th in the nation.

That is an awesome stat and a huge reason why Rhoads' teams have been as successful as they have. Nice work, Wally.

Anyone else recently look at the stats leaders provided by the NCAA?

Out of 120 teams:
#108 Rush D, #103 Pass D, #116 Total D, #96 Scoring D, #82 Pass Eff,
#114 Tackles for Loss, #111 Sacks, #118 1st downs, #103 3rd down defense

I also read that we have allowed teams in the redzone 44 times, the next worse BCS team was Washington State at 40.

On offense we are not much better:
#63 Rush, #103 Pass, #103 Total, #81 Scoring, #109 Pass eff, #93 3rd down %

Clearly these rankings are skewed due to two bad games and ISU's superior SOS.

Two stats we are doing well in, besides TO's:
#28 Redzone % offense
#34 Redzone % defense
