31-20 Clones win... I hope he is doing alright because he's a great guy as well as a great player so I want him to have another 1,000 yard season for the books, but running back is the one position where we can afford to have one or two guys go down and still have D-1 caliber back-ups ready to jump into the line-up. If we had to be short a guy, running back is the place for it.
I think people are giving to much credit to a Kansas offense that has been horrible and is without it's QB and one of their only playmakers. Defense will hold, I just hope our offense can let loose for once.
What I expect and want to see 31-3 Clones.
What it will be if the players don't come out and play like they did last week: 14-13 Jayhawks

Re: ***ISU vs. KU PREDICTION Thread***
KU shows up, gets hit coming off the bus and immediately goes home seeking out the meaning of life.
ISU wins 0-0.

Anyone scared of their QB since he has yet to play?

ISU 54- KU 17
They get 14 of those points in the second half when everyone on the field is second and 3rd string.

ISU-24
KU - 6 I agree with this 101%, but I also think that some KU turnovers will allow the Cyclones to score more than 24 points.

That's the first I've heard anyone say he was redshirting. That wouldn't even make sense given that they are starting young guys instead. I thought he just fell out of the running pretty quick in fall camp and that's why he hadn't played.
Edit: I stand corrected, according to the Tokepa Capital Journal he was redshirting (http://cjonline.com/sports/football/..._start_in_ames). I have to assume that it was a "redshirt because I'm not on the depth chart" thing though rather than saving him for the future.

Re: ***ISU vs. KU PREDICTION Thread***
I don't think ISU will light things up on offense as much as people think. I can see Arnaud reverting to previous form a bit and turning the ball over a couple of times.
That being said, I see KU doing even less on offense. With a new quaterback I'd bet one of ISU's touchdowns is scored by the defense.
ISU: 27
KU: 13

Re: ***ISU vs. KU PREDICTION Thread***
This game really scares me.....i'm hoping its just me second guessing, but, if ever there was a trap game this is it....sandwiched between Texas and Nebraska, back up quarter back, a lot of accolades for the boyz....just a bunch of stuff to detract focus....which was exactly what i saw last week - a focused, aggressive football team - it was great.
However, if you look into the teams we have not done well against its been either a fast paced offense and iowa a true running offense. lets not even talk about teams bringing in back ups against us to then make a name for themselves such as Daniels & Reising to name a few....
So, for me, i hope Wallys touching up on these guys the 8 guys in the box. If KU comes in and flings it around, i think they could be in trouble. They want to establish a running game and then milk the clock - try to keep the scoring low. How bout this for a stat, over the past four games they have rushed for over 200 yards in 3 of 4 games. Luckily Beshears (former ISU commit) will not be playing.
IF ISU's offensive and Defensive lines play as they did a week ago, this will get out of hand. However, KU seems to rear their ugly heads to play us tough after coming off the past two games of getting blasted - they honestly see this game as winnable. Thus it will be more competitive then others give it credit for....
ISU 24-13
Who cares about the score - ISU needs to win this game.....then focus on Nebraska!!!!

Re: ***ISU vs. KU PREDICTION Thread***
I'm revising my earlier prediction of 45-17 'Clones down to 31-10. An easy win that is never in doubt, but not the 56-3 blowout I'm hoping for. Starters get some rest to prepare for UNL.

They definetly see this as a game they can win, which is why I think it is very important to score and/or hold them to zero or one first downs on thier first drive. If we beat them early they will fold up. If we let them stay in it they will play their best game of the season.
