Re: ******Official Post-Game Thread******
AA was not very sharp early today. Even from the radio you could tell he was throwing high and hard. This was a game when ISU needed to hit Kansas coming off the bus, but ended up whiffing with the one play TO.

Re: ******Official Post-Game Thread******
big win if we can pull of the upset against Nebraska.. and go bowling this season will be classified as epic
Iowa State: Anyone who's a true college basketball fan needs to see a game at Hilton Coliseum. Nice is in the DNA of Iowans and the fans here are particularly gracious -- even when the home team loses but gives a great effort, they are appreciative. ESPN.com picked Hilton Coliseum as the "Hot Arena" in the Big 12...coaches in the league noted that, "regardless of talent, the Cyclones have a home court like no other." -

I think this is more legitimate since the other one was opened before the game was over.

did anyone else hear Arob refer to himself, Woody, Shontrelle and James White as "the Wolfpack"?
good nickname. hadn't heard that one before.

Great win for this team. This game was a must win and I give the defense a lot of credit for keeping it close at the beginning. Hopefully next week our defense comes with the same intensity and our offense gets momentum early. Sometimes we underestimate the mental toughness of these guys and after the past two weeks, I give this team major props for not giving up on themselves like everyone expected them to early on.

Re: ******Official Post-Game Thread******
A few things regarding what i've read in this thread:
Penalties: Were close to the least penalized team in the nation ... around 5 per game.
Play calling: If Money doesn't fumble that football on drive #1 and then catches that pass over the middle on 3rd down on drive #2, thats 2 drives we could have had to get more yards. The pass over the middle was good for 20 yards.
Dropped Passes: Darks-- Whats the deal man? You have the best hands on the team! At least I thought you did before today. How about you catch a big TD pass next saturday... all will be redeemed.

Yeah but he was really sharp in the second half, including starting 8 for 10 on pass completions, you could even tell that from the radio he was hitting his receivers dead on.
It's amazing what people can find to nitpick when we're one win away from bowl eligibility with this schedule!

Re: ******Official Post-Game Thread******
I was furious after the first half, but the team responded perfectly in the second. It wasn't as easy a win as it should have been, but it's a Big 12 win and we're 5-4(3-2). Three chances to get the win we need to go bowling again, and the road to the North Championship runs through JTS. GO STATE!

Re: ******Official Post-Game Thread******
First off, I take the blame for the bad first half. I have a AA jersey and every time I wear it to a game we play bad and often lose so I thought playing KU could break the jinx. I was wrong and took if off I believe right before the Lenz PR TD. What a waste of money that purchase was.
Glad to see us take over the game in the second half. I think the game was really over when Gill passed on going for a TD to settle for a FG. Thank God we didn't go after him.

I thought I was the reason for the poor play in the 1st half - I didn't have my ISU flag flying proudly during that time. At the half, I went out and hung it proudly. Coincidence?
