[quote=HuskyCy5;1975075]I liked the Outlook. It's right across the street from the CU Events Center and a short walk to Folsom.
I also walked away feeling extra smug that I had lowered my carbon footprint by staying there.

Thanks for all the help from drlove!
Pieces are starting to fall into place. Would really like to know game time, that would help with the planning.
Wonder what time that will come out?
With no TV is probably will be 1:00.
The later ther better!
Veterans Day holiday is the Thursday before, so some people can have an extended visit. Snow has hit the rockies also.
We stayed at the Millenium Harvest Hotel when we went last time. I believe it didn't get the greatest of reviews on tripadvisor, but I didn't have any problems with it. It is also where the ISU tailgate is held. It was outside with beverages for sale and huge bigscreen that you could watch game day on (or games, but I think it was a pretty early game). If you didn't stay at this hotel, it was $20 to park at the hotel. We could walk from the hotel to the game. I'd stay there again.
If CU loses at KU I could deffinitely see the CU fans "boycotting" for the ISU game. Even more likely that they stay home for KSU the next week after we beat them for their 7th loss.
I am surpised Hawkins hasn't been shown the door already honestly. At least that would give them an excuse to lose the last few games and would give CU fans hope for the future.
Hopefully they don't fire him before our game and give them hope for the future. They may be trying to lose now so that he does get fired.
Where are the Cyclone fans staying? We are thinking Broomfield, basically between Denver and Boulder. I am a cheapskate so I want free breakfast...
I still have not gotten tickets. So far my wife and I are going. Several friends backed out. I have a (single) sister in law that lives in Denver, she will be going to the game. I may have another (single) sister in law going too. We would love to meet some other Cyclone fans out there for some tailgating for sure.
This has definitely been helpful. My brother and I are making the drive out Thursday night and are looking for some things to do on Friday.
Or.. you could just post your opinion here and save us the trouble.Quote:
Not much space around Folsom Field for tailgating, except for CU ticket/pass holders. The parking lot south of Folsom, the grass field south of Folsom and the Franklin Field soccer field are reserved for CU tailgaters. The Regent Drive Autopark is probably taken early. There aren't many parking places around.
Stay in Louisville, CO, five miles east on Rt 36. Quite a few choices.
Go to The Dark Horse bar. It looks like a real bar. It's SE of the Main campus on Baseline Rd.
Best pizza is at Beaujo's, just south of the main campus on Baseline.
The pedmall is packed prior to the game.
The ISU pregame celebration is at the Millennium Complex on 28th, east of the stadium.
