The sad part is they probably just put it up on stub hub without knowing or caring who would pick up the ticket.
That's how we ended up in the donor section for the UT game this year.

Well, lets hear it. It stands to reason that with the number of posters we have on this site that at least a few of them sold their tickets to Fusker fans. Stop hiding behind your computer and come out in the open and tell us why you did it.
In all fairness, it happens everywhere. I work at ND and my coworkers still talk about all the Domers selling their tickets to NU when they played against the Fighting Irish. It was a sea of Red in South Bend.
I was sitting in row 25 at around the 45 yd line and had Husker fans all around me. The Husker fan in front of me even turned around and told me to "stop clapping in his hair".... wtf??? I'm sorry your head is only 1 foot away from my hands and my clap is really loud. You're in the middle of an ISU section, deal with it.
There were way too many in the student section and numerous fights almost happened because of that. Why the hell would you want to sit in the student section if you are a fan of the other team?
Another option is that Nebraska fans actually own those season tickets. It is not uncommon for Nebraska fans to purchase season tickets, like hundreds did at Washington this year, go to the Nebraska game only and sell the rest on eBay or at ticket exchanges.
In section F, we were surrounded by Nebraska fans. I hate them.
It would have made a victory a little bit sweeter.
But thankfully since we stayed in the game, they were a little less annoying. You knew they were about to lose their sh.. when they pulled ahead by 14.
I was appalled by the behavior of numerous Husker fans at the game yesterday. I know it only takes a few, but there were hundreds. I also couldn't belive how unintelligent they seemed to be. Not only was it the Huskers in sell outs seats, but how many people 'allowed' Huskers to tailgate with them. When I was walking around, I saw tons of tailgates that were a mixtue of ISU and Husker fans.
I'm sorry, but at our TG, you were ISU, or you were looking for another place to hang out.....not that we are not usually good hosts, but this game, and this fan base is different!
The best part was walking out after the game. Husker fans yelling Go Big Red after beating a 5-5 team by 1 in OT. You would think they would keep their mouth shut and just be thankful they got the vitory, but not Husker fan.
All those people who sold their tickets missed a helluva game, that's their fault. Once I found out Cody Green was going to play the entire game, I knew things would get interesting. I am truly embarrassed on behalf of my own fan base for some of the way Husker fans acted at the game, as well as Iowa State fans.. I will continue to put fellow fans in check during games when I see class-less behavior. I love football and these things do not need to become normal.. We are definitely better than that.
I can't stand fans of any team that:
1. COMPLAIN ABOUT PEOPLE STANDING UP - If you want to sit around sell your ticket to someone else!(or at least don't complain about anyone standing!)
2. COMPLAIN ABOUT PEOPLE MAKING NOISE - Vulgar language and whining is not cool! But complaining about people making noise in pitiful.
3. BOOING THE OPPONENT - Booing the a bad call is one thing, but booing the opponent shows a lack of respect for others.
4. DUMB FANS - people who always say "this game's over" when there is still a whole lot of football to be played.
these are just a few things I can't stand!
The thing some fans from EVERY fanbase forget is that this is a football game. There is pageantry, pomp and festival surrounding the event. It's taking a beautiful Saturday afternoon in the fall and getting together with folks for food, fellowship, marching bands, cheerleaders, balloons and watching young men who play the game of football.
Some people view this as war. Sure I want my team to win every game, but I'm not going to talk smack and embarrass myself. After the game is over, tubas are in their cases, the tailgate tents are packed up and the stadium is being swept, I want to be able to retain my dignity.
IMHO, most opposing fans who cheer after the game are not, trying to rub it in. I think most of them are just excited and celebrating. It is hard to discern what their intent is, and it stings when your team is on the "wrong" end of the score.
Good luck the rest of the season Cyclones and knock around CU and MU . . . many of their fans are really bad and that's why I don't like them.
Yeah it was very disheartening to hear such loud cheers when Nebraska did something good. A few times I thought ISU had just made a play (it's hard to see from the 6th row of the students section sometimes) but then realized the cheering was from the other fans.
A couple more thoughts:
-There were a lot of Huskers in the student section, including a middle-aged man with his 5-year old son standing in the front row. Newsflash: It's not real smart to expose a 5-year old to a college student section.
-I had an ISU student I know come up to me before the fourth quarter, full Husker gear on, and taunt me. That did not go well. If you go to ISU don't be a jerk about being a fan of another team.
Beyond that, most of the fans were relatively friendly.
A friend of mine buys extra tickets just to support the program, so he always has a couple to sell (or give away, as he often does). He was prepared to eat the $90 rather than sell to Husker fans. THAT is principled.
It was pretty sickening yesterday to see so much Husker fans in my section. Although it was nice to shut them up in the fourth quarter.
