Re: To the "Sell Out" fans...
It is a fan's right to re-sell their ticket to whomever they like, even if it is not cool to sell it to the opposing team's fans.
Maybe next year, JP and CPR can send out a little letter with the season tickets asking fans not to sell to opposing team fans, but if they have to sell, try and make sure it goes to an ISU fan. It obviously will not stop all of it, but it might help.
Best thing though is that CPR builds a winning program so the fans will not be inclined to sell their tickets, and the opposing teams fans will be confined to one small corner of the stadium.
Re: To the "Sell Out" fans...
I sold a hillside ticket to a NU grad who is my physical therapist for $40 here in Ames. He came to our tailgate in his pajamas at 10 am to see if I still had it because I told him at my appointment on Friday that I may have an extra one. A guy that tailgates with us a brought a NU fan with him to go to the game. We had gal friend of ours come up late and asked if anyone had any tickets, she is an ISU fan, and the NU fan even brought her a ticket to get into the game!! He bought a ticket from a scalper for $20 just before game time

And for the people that couldn't go or sold their ticket for another reason, don't let these haters get to you... Stop complaining.
And for the guy that buys extra tickets just so we don't have opposing fans there, sorry not all of us can afford multiple season tickets... You guys are ridiculous.
It took a little longer than I thought it would be here is that guy. :v_SPIN:
Re: To the "Sell Out" fans...
While I agree that it is disgusting how many Husker fans we have in JTS for these games, we really have nobody to blame but ourselves. Sure, any of us would rather sell to an ISU fan than a visiting fan. But there just isn't much of a market for that. The only games we ever sell out are Iowa, Nebraska, and UNI. Why? They bring a lot of visiting fans. There just isn't a large number of ISU fans out there looking to go to a game needing to buy tickets. Anybody that wants one, already has one. Until demand for tickets by ISU fans exceeds the ticket supply, teams that travel well are going to be all over our house.
Re: To the "Sell Out" fans...
Least we wont have to worry about it any more. Maybe worry about when iowa comes in but there will be no more huskers in jts. No other big12 team travels like they do so think were safe...

Re: To the "Sell Out" fans...
Iowa State fans=Cheap people
And not due to this thread or yesterday's game. I've always kind of thought this, and I'm not even sure a winning tradition of football will make a difference. When you're cheap, you're cheap. I think its just the mentality unfortunately of alot of our fans.

never said it was a right...it isn't cool.
actually it is the high water mark of dooshbagggery.
the hundreds of Husker fans in the high donor sections indicate that fans just wanted big red's money...not that they had plans.
Re: To the "Sell Out" fans...
Where do Husker fans get all of this money? I respect that they spend serious money to fill up other teams' stadiums? I'm impressed even while I hate that they pull it off.
And how many lot payments do they sink into those tickets?
Sorry, couldn't help it.

When I was walking around, I saw tons of tailgates that were a mixtue of ISU and Husker fans.
I'm sorry, but at our TG, you were ISU, or you were looking for another place to hang out.....not that we are not usually good hosts, but this game, and this fan base is different!
The best part was walking out after the game. Husker fans yelling Go Big Red after beating a 5-5 team by 1 in OT. You would think they would keep their mouth shut and just be thankful they got the vitory, but not Husker fan.
Our tailgate was probably 1/3 husker. But, we're from Western Iowa and a lot of people from our side of the state are (unfortunately) husker fans. They love to come to Ames and have done it every other year for a long time. I'm not going to tell them that they can't come party with us. They're on their own as far as getting tickets, though. I won't help them with that.

Different culture. Many of these peoples' lives revolve around nebraska football...there's just all that much else to do there. ISU fans unfortunately spend more of their discresionary income on other things and ISU football isn't the most important thing in their lives.
