Just read the artilce..... He was definitly screaming at the top of his lungs at the fan. From hearing the convo Parker was right in his words just shouldnt have used them. How do you control emotion in a time like that though.... If I was that fan and had a sideline pass Id prolly keep my mouth shut to a bunch of men who just lost to Nebraska.
It is a real shame we havent used Franklin more. NO doubt we will see him on Sundays very soon. Seems like a perfect fit for GB.
"It’s probably a good thing Iowa State teammates urged Rashawn Parker to head to the locker room after Saturday’s overtime loss against Nebraska at Jack Trice Stadium. It’s hard telling what he would have said to an angry fan who, for some reason, was on the field after the Cyclones’ 2-point conversion on a fake PAt failed.
“I’d have probably yelled at him,” Parker said Sunday night. “He was disrespecting my teammates and the coaches.
“He didn’t like that we went for the fake,” Parker said. “I didn’t say anything back to the guy. I just looked at him. There were fans down there congratulating us, and one guy who was disrespecting the team because he didn’t like the (play) call..
“I looked at the guy, but I didn’t do anything. It was just one guy. We love Cyclone fans. It was just one guy out of about 55,000.”
Let me interpret. He thought about saying something but his teammates helped him keep his cool and he kept his mouth shut. Good job, Mr. Parker.
That's something that I wish other fans would have policed if you catch my drift.. ;)
I was standing there and Parker had to be restrained by teammates.
It was nuts. I'm glad he didn't get away, he woulda ripped that fool in half.
