Re: Mizzou game to Kickoff @ 6pm, televised on FSN.
Our ******* fans will complain about anything! We get 12 games a year, plus a bowl game if earned. 6 or 7 of those are at home.
You're going to routinely complain about the kick off time of a team you love to watch play and only get to do so 6 or 7 times in the entire year?
Seriously?
It's November, it's most likely going to be cold regardless if the game is at 1pm or 6pm. Yes, will be colder...but that's it. Still gonna be cold. Day games can be extremely cold too. I recall a November night game from '05 that was rather nice...luck of the draw.
It's Iowa, not Florida - get used to it.

I believe the plus outer market allows the game to be shown in DSM. Usually listed as RSSNa or something like that.
This summer it happened when the Cubs and Sox overlapped.

Re: Mizzou game to Kickoff @ 6pm, televised on FSN.
I could care less about whether the weather or the starting time is comfortable for the fans. I just want to win, period. And against Mizzou, I believe that a night game in lousy weather give us the best chance to win.
So for the complainers out there, just add a few layers of clothes and deal with it.

Hate it. Hate it. For those of us who have to drive long distances, it absolutely sucks. The fans are definitely not being considered when you have a night game in late November. Someone needs their head examined IMO. I have never seen people complain like our fan base about the game times. We should be happy we are on TV. The fans were considered for the KU game and they were giving away tickets to get people into the place for a 1PM game on a great day. There will be a few less people at this game than if it were played in the afternoon but we need the TV. This is an FSN game (not FCS), and ISU gets paid for it and it is on all over the country. You don't go turning down national TV audiences becuase a few people can't figure out how to dress warmly.

The tickets will be sold. I don't think that will be a problem.

Re: Mizzou game to Kickoff @ 6pm, televised on FSN.
This is freaking awesome. I LOVE NIGHT GAMES! Nothing like sitting in the JTS parking lots from 8 to 6!
The number of ISU fans that complain about night time games is actually extremely limited.
Just because 20-30 people get on a message board to complain, doesnt mean that the other 50,000 people in JTS care.

But in all seriousness, we need to get over this and move on. We could still end up with 8 wins easily this season. We will have more opportunities like that game and now that we have Rhoads, I'm confident they will be coming even more often, and we will start winning those games, but let's focus on CU.
Hilton Coliseum was specifically built to hold in sound with a solid concrete structure, steel doors, and a crowd that sits just a few feet from the court. With a fan base that frequently ranks among the nations largest crowds, players from opposing teams, as well as Iowa State, have said that the floor has shaken due to the loudness of the crowd -

Between the Groupon deal with $65 tickets for $25 and the $10 hillside promotion I would say the AD is doing what they can to ensure people get to the stadium.

Just like ensuring the KU game would be a 1pm kick to make some happy, but no TV. This one is TV but the later kick.
Complain about something else, this is no big deal and playing in the cold in November is to be expected.
