Re: Paul Rhoads on Daniel Kuehl
I hope the team and the coaching staff is not just dwelling on this..... We need to win out and play in one of the Texas bowls.

Re: Paul Rhoads on Daniel Kuehl
Paul Rhoads should not be so defensive about this kid but at the same time, he needs to put any ******** about Dan K to rest. So IMO its appropriate.

Re: Paul Rhoads on Daniel Kuehl
The fact is that last plays get FAR FAR too much attention. It is human instinct. It is what gets set in our mental memory. We see the last play. But really, how many plays really cost us that game? There are probably 10 or more you could name. And how many GREAT plays got is in to a position to even be in OT. Each play can't stand alone. Even if it is the last one.

Im just wondering if this will affect Rhoads going forward? In terms of decision making?

Even if it is the last one. Fumble
Interception
Another interception
Missed FG
Another missed FG
Dropped pass by Reynolds on 3rd down late in the game (led to a missed FG)
Dropped pass/slightly overthrown ball to Darks on the sideline (IIRC, we punted next play)
Fumble by NU that we didn't get
Another fumble by NU that we didn't get
Allowing a TD in OT, especially 2 plays in
That's 10 without even thinking that hard.

Re: Paul Rhoads on Daniel Kuehl
ISU had a successful fake FG against UNI for a 1st down that set up a TD. Plus, a success fake Punt for a 1st down against TT that IIRC led to a score. Also, a successful Onside Kick against UT, that helped with time of possession. Last, was Saturday's fake FG.
Last year, ISU had a missed Onside against UI and a successful fake Punt against NU. Were there any others last season?

Whether it's a community service project, or through practice or winning a bowl game, but you don't do that without the kids believing and being all in, and going out there and accomplishing all [of] the goals and expectations that we set." - Coach Paul Rhoads -

Guys that constantly change their philosophy and gameplan based on one-off plays are almost always guys with losing records and getting canned.
