Didn't Hicks try to improvise on that play?

Had that staff actually RECRUITED a scholarship worthy kicker , the results might have been different, regardless of where Hicks ran with the ball.

2.) Missouri 14-17 OT (2004) - B12 championship game birth, laid an egg
    3.) Florida State 31-38 (2002) - Seneca was in!
    4.) Alabama 13-14 (2001) - Wide right!
5.) Nebraska 30-31 OT (2010) - Chance for B12 championship birth, last chance to beat nebby in a while, etc.

I hope you mean berth. Hopefully there aren't any births on the football field.

The '81 OU game was crushing. I just remember everyone hugging Giffords. They probably checked on him hourly that night.

OU 2002, not because it was close by any stretch, but it crushed a dream of being one of the big boys, ranked #9 at the time

Last year's game against KSU at Arrowhead.

The OT game at Nebraska in 2005ish (where we dropped the INT)

    OU in 1981 still hurts.

    Re: Top 5 Heart-Breakers

These would probably be my top 5:
    1. KU 2005
    2. MU 2004
    3. Mich State MBB
    4. Nebbie 2010
    5. UCLA MBB

I definitely put the Kansas/Mizzou losses 1 and 2 because we had a guaranteed Big12 title game in front of us had we took care of business and beat two inferior opponents. Those 2 games were catastrophic for me mentally. Especially Kansas because we had a chance to redeem ourselves the following year after the Missouri debacle, we were up in the game, and blew it. I remember I had to go to a family Thanksgiving immediately after the KU game and my wife's cousin, who is a huge Hawk fan, told me it was the greatest day of his life. A week later his father died unexpectedly. Karma's a bi+ch, I guess.

I just gotta say this because its been eating at me for some time now.

    Re: Top 5 Heart-Breakers

This last game was nothing compared to Florida State and Alabama. It makes it a lot worse when you have to drive or fly as long way home after one of these losses.
