Boulder
A group of us are considering a last minute trip to Boulder. None of us have ever been there before. Does anyone have any advice for where to tailgate? Where would the best place be to find tickets? Any miscellaneous advice?

I bought four tickets through www.groupon.com (click on Denver) for $15 each, but that offer may no longer be available - I'm not sure.

Re: Boulder
It's snowing there right now
“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.” -
Re: Boulder
My friend's wife lives in Boulder, she said they're forcasted to get some snow over the next few days. It's probably still too warm out there for it to stick around, but it could possibly snow during the game.
"No matter how many hours you study opponent films, there's only going to be eleven players on the other side of the line of scrimmage." - Sid Gillman
It's a simple game in which strategic beauty comes not from being surprised by some new clever trick, but from the sublime, routine brilliance of a master in his element. -
Re: Boulder
There has been several posts on this topic, but the short is:
-CU athletic office has a 4-pack for 4 tickets, 4 sandwiches, 4 sodas for $15 each. I wouldn't worry about the seats, Folsom will be essentially GA with the meltdown going on. Also gives you admission to:
-Millineum Harvest House ISU Tailgate. Not tailgating proper, but that doesn't really happen in Boulder. Also, with the early game, you won't have to worry about setting up/taking down stuff here.

-1250 new seats have been sold since the news this morning, regardless you'll get seats but they wont be as good as they'd have been yesterday.
-Good advice on HH for visitors
-disagree on tailgating in boulder it happens but parking is so limited we jsut dont leave any fo visitors.
Here is a link to a georgia blog with some ideas for things to do: Boulder, Denver, and Beyond UGA @ CU 2010
CU site thread started by same dawgs with a little more detail: Things to do in Boulder "Don't argue with an idiot, he'll drag you down to his level and beat you with experience." -

Re: Boulder
One other note boulder cops f'ing suck, they live for DUI's MIP's and open container tickets (insert jon bennet ramsey comment here). If you do tailgate stay in the lots and off streets. If you drink dont drive, they are ruthless.

Re: Boulder
They have the worst fans. They treat the opposition like S--T.
Live for yourself, your family, your friends then your job!!! -
Re: Boulder
Having lived in Colorado most of last year I learned one significant thing concerning Boulder................."It is the Peoples Republic of Boulder". I found it a strange environment. Much like Eugene, OR.

Tailgating, even if you could find a good spot, will all of a sudden be not fun because of this. Go to the ISU tailgate at MHH, at least then you're mostly surrounded by Cyclones. Most away games I try to mingle with the opposition, but not this one.
