CU fans shockingly confident
Official ISU @ CU prediction thread
They think that Hawks firing makes everything magically better. They may be right, but I suspect Rhoads has the guys focused, hungry, and ready to roll.

Wow. They are some special souls over there in CO. I thought it might be the altitude, but I'm currently sitting at nearly 7,700 feet and am nowhere near THAT delusional. ISU may not own CU, but I think that there is about an 80-85% chance that ISU is bowl elidgible come Saturday night. Just sayin'.

Stewo, let's be honest here. The delusional people never see it themselves. It's entirely possible that you are that delusional.
But we should still be bowl-eligible Saturday, delusions or not.

Wow, a lot of guys not only predicting a CU win, but a few calling for a blowout. ASfter what happened at the end of the KU game they should be thinking their team is amazingly lost. I don't think it will be a cake walk, but there is a reason they have not won a conference game all year, and it isn't all coaching.

That is 0-3 against the same group of teams that their opponent is 2-1 against.
That is playing a team 1 play away from beating a Top 10 team.
That just fired their coach mid week.
That is playing a lauded coaching staff.

Let them be confident. It makes their tears all the sweeter.
They're probably high anyway, Boulder's got a lot of hippies.

We will have our highest offensive output of the season this Saturday.

The Big 12 is really giving Colorado a grand farewell tour.

I'm nervous for a couple reasons. They've had several close losses so I don't think they are as bad as their record indicates, and they will be fired up since they just fired their coach. Add in that we normally don't play well out there and I think that equals a really tough game.
I think they will come out emotional, so if we can weather the "stampede" early(see what I did there) then I think we'll be in good shape.

Re: CU fans shockingly confident
Don't forget that Colorado hasn't been that horrible. They lost by less than one score to Texas Tech and Baylor, and had a huge lead on Kansas before they collapsed. This is in no way an easy game.
I'm of the opinion its a bad thing that they fired Hawkins this week. After the debacle that was the Kansas game, I think they needed some change to get any semblance of confidence back.
