Gamewatch - Des Moines - Kid Friendly
OK…my wife is great about being OK with me blowing an entire Saturday to head up to Ames for football games so I have to cut her some slack when she has plans on the day of an away game. As it turns out, her and a girlfriend are heading to the outlet mall tomorrow. That leave me with our daughter for the day (4-years old).
I'm looking forward to a fun day, but somehow need to work in the game….even it is just the 2nd half (I'm OK listening to the radio 1st half) . I don't have the sportspak on my Mediacom, so won't have the game on at home.
Fanatic dads --- any suggestions for kid friendly venues for the game tomorrow? In the past, I've taken her to All-Play/Fanatics to catch Vikes' games on Sundays. That wasn't bad except for having to deal with time at the arcade games. I'm fine going back there tomorrow, but would be curious if anyone has other options to choose from? Not interested in going somewhere where the F-bomb (or the like) could go down at anytime -

Just an idea. Buy sportspak before the game. Cancel after the game. Pay the prorated price of next to nothing for 1 day. I've seen many people on here do that.

I try places like Jethro. Good meal, family atmosphere mostly, and usually have the game on.

I would stay as far away from 3rd Base Sports Bar (3bag, or should I say dbags) as possible. Alot if not ALL Hokeye homers, in the worst possible way. I will never spend another dollar there. Service was crappy, by less than polite staff. That may have had to do with my clone clothing.

Just buy the sportspak for a day and cancel right after it, ive done it before extremely cheap, im a broke college student too if thats anymore incentive for doing that -
Re: Gamewatch - Des Moines - Kid Friendly
At the risk of upsetting some teachers on here, I would go with Legends, or Okoboji Grill.

I just ordered the sports pak today. Call Mediacom and you can have it one before the game starts. It's only $3.95 a month, but yeah, you can call and cancel it on Sunday if you want to.

Re: Gamewatch - Des Moines - Kid Friendly
Thx for the advice. I just called Mediacom and added the sportspak. They had it on before I even hung up the phone.
I enjoy watching the games out, but this is probably best option considering my daughter.
