No surprises on new depth chart
As expected, Jerome Tiller is listed as Iowa State's starting quarterback on the Missouri game depth chart. No other surprises are on the chart. http://www.cyclones.com//pdf8/722952.pdf

Once again some great stuff turned out by the Rag.
The next headline will most likely read this.

Time to rally around Tiller. It's his team, and he has an opportunity to go out and get after it.

Re: No surprises on new depth chart
Any chance Capello passes JT this week? I have felt all along that JT was put in to manage the game when needed, and to keep him interested/happy. But, now that we need a win, will we see IF James IS the more accurate passer that we keeping hearing about?
Don't get me wrong JT, show alittle gamer last weekend, but I just wonder if we can manage and win.
One thing for sure, if the Oline doesn't improve (ALOT), it wouldn't matter if Drew Brees was under center.

Hopefully the coaches can take advantage of his increased mobility by moving the pocket to give him and the receivers more time. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some designed runs. He could be dangerous in a QB designed sweep like Oregon runs. If we just drop him back, I think we'll be in trouble because he's most dangerous on the edge when he's got the run/pass option like on the TD against Colorado. The running game is really what's going to decide this game. Missouri's D is really good against the pass but is mediocre against the run. If the line can open some running lanes and Arob gets going, watch out!
I don't think I'm alone when I say I'd like to see more and more planets fall under the ruthless domination of our solar system. -

I thought Tiller looked the best passing that he has yet in the 4th against Colorado. Would love to see him have a great game to finish this year and set the tone for next season's offense.

Re: No surprises on new depth chart
Tiller adds a new level of explosiveness. You don't know what you will get with him. Maybe he'll elude some tacklers, roll out on a broken play, and find Franklin in the end zone for a TD (which he did). Or maybe he'll sit in the pocket with time and miss some wide open receives (which we also saw vs. UNI). Either way, he gives us a chance to win this game regardless, so let's rally behind him.
If Tiller leads us to a win here, then grabs the bull by the horns and leads this team in a bowl game to victory, I don't see how he wouldn't be the frontrunner for the starting job next season. But let's get Mizzou first.
