T'sTaTe: In TILLER we TRUST!
Danny Mac used to build the ISU team keeping the Iowa game in mind.
Chizdick would consistently talk about "small victories" every year and every game.
Rhoads has always talked about Bowl eligibiity and Bowl wins.
This is why, I personally and strongly believe that Rhoads is going to secure this a win with Tiller on Saturday. I love coach Rhoads and I loved him even more when he said Tiller has way too much on his plate to be facing the media at this point.
Tiller has grown up last year with that one throw in the end zone against Nebraska just like Drew Tate did against LSU with that one throw in their bowl game (I know I shouldn't be referencing Iowa, but why not?). We have NOT seen a better Tiller this year (at least I didn't) but I honestly believe Rhoads is cooking something for Saturday. I think there will be a few trick plays without much involvement from Tiller but I have a feeling Tiller will be a huge part of the win in managing the clock and making the right decisions.
Now, here's the thing: IF we beat Mizzouri with Tiller, I want him to start as the QB next season. Capello can share time with him but we need to give Tiller the credit he deserves. He played and secured a victory in Lincoln and that throw was dead on (give or take a yard).
We need to show our support for Tiller. Nothing against Austen or Capello, we are Cyclones and we will stick with Rhoads' decisions!

I really do hope Tiller wins these next two games for us this year.

On that 4th down play last week he looked downright Seneca-esque! We'll need his elusiveness if the line plays like last week. His quick legs could effect the way Mizzou blitzes.
He played quality time last year against Baylor & Nebraska, and this year vs. UNI. ALL ISU wins. Hope he has a breakout game this week.

If we get the line play we got against Texas, 2nd half of KU, and Nebraska, Tiller, and our offense, will be just fine.

The closer we are to kickoff the more pumped up I'm becoming. Last week of the season and the Clones get to fight for their post season lives! Awesome!

Re: T'sTaTe: In TILLER we TRUST!
the rest of the guys... in other words: the starters... need to step up their game big time this week. The only way we win is if we get 11 guys playing lights out for 4 quarters. We haven't had that much this season. When we have, we've won games. We did that @Neb last year.
1 or less turnovers
force 3 or more
run the football like we are capable
ZERO big plays given up on defense

Quoting Coach Rhoads before the Nebraska game last year, when asked how they would compete with Nebraska without their starting quarterback and starting running back........."as a team". Still my favorite CPR quote ever.

Re: T'sTaTe: In TILLER we TRUST!
Here's hoping for the birth of the "Tiller Era" in Iowa State football! If I remember right, there have been a couple instances of opposing teams in the past breaking out a backup QB against us to launch some amazing careers... now it's our turn.

Lots of running plays. Lots and lots of running plays. Maybe even steal a few Nebraska plays that worked well against Mizzou.

ZERO big plays given up on defense Yep! We have yet to win a game with an individual. We win games when everyone steps up and plays. It should not fall on Tiller's shoulders or any one person for that matter.

I and maybe 1000 other Cyclone fans did manage to see it. Ugly game. A&M's defense was awful and we looked very inept against them. Our running game wasn't there and Tiller was asked to throw about 27 times, with two picks.

I wouldn't say he played "well" in that game. He did have a high completion percentage, but had a fairly low YPA average, plus, he threw two interceptions. All of these in a game our guys lost pretty handily. Definitely not saying that it's his or the offense's fault that the defense gave up so many points, but his two turnovers definitely didn't help.
