Favorite Arnaud Moment....
I've been kind of bummed thinking about Austen not getting to play on Senior day after everything he has given this program so I thought lets get some positivity going and discuss our favorite memories of Austen.
Mine isn't one specific play but my lasting memory of Austen will be plays similar to the one he got hurt on. There are too many plays to count where he moved the pile and fought for extra yards. It didn't matter if we were up 20 or down 50, first qtr or 4th qtr, whether he had thrown 3 INT's or thrown for 5 TDs,he finished every run like the game was on the line.

Texas Tech Game. Period. I hated how he played before this game. Became a fan after.

UNLV 2008. Final drive with a minute left and no timeouts. Specifically his scramble for the first down and headiness to cut to the sidelines early and eschew extra yards for a stoppage of the clock.

Nebraska 2009. The kid didn't even get to play but was one of the first guys running out on the field to celebrate with the team and was one of the most excited guys in the celebration video. While I didn't always like his decisions on the field I loved the fact that he was the definition of a team player and it showed that day more then any other. -

I have 2 favorite Arnaud moments..
1- The comeback he made at UNLV his sophmore year goin 90+ yards no timeouts with a minute to go to send it into overtime has to be up there because I was at that game..
2- After we beat Nebraska last year Arnaud was jumpin around on midfield and started the we love you chant in the locker room after.. shows how much of a team player he was and a true cyclone he will always be

Favorite moment was the first time i saw him play live. He came in for Meyer and his first pass was a 50 yard bomb to Blythe.

Re: Favorite Arnaud Moment....
He had a lot of awesome moments. One of my favorites was in his sophomore year against UNLV when he led us on a game-tying drive and tied the game as time expired on a rocket-armed pass to Summral in traffic as he crossed the goal line.
And I don't remember any specific game this happened in, but loved it the many times he lowered his shoulder and ran a LB over. Man was he tough. Easy to see why he been hurt alot, he takes a beating out there.

Probably a lot of QB's at other schools or former QB's that see him do that and wish they could have pounded some defenders like Arnaud did. A little QB justice.

Re: Favorite Arnaud Moment....
I agree with the overall toughness thing. He just played so hard all the time. He was awesome in the bowl win against minnesota last year. Just displayed so much heart in picking up key yardage down the stretch when we needed it.

I think it was in the bowl game last year when he scored a touchdown. He had his helmet knocked off and he came up pumped. I don't remember all of the details, but it showed his toughness.

Re: Favorite Arnaud Moment....
I loved being able to watch the drive he put together at UNLV with 90+ yards in less than a minute..probably because i was there but it was awesome.
Just his love for Iowa State and how he always represented our university in a positive light no matter the situation, how many times did he get kicked in the nuts by coaching changes? Never once complained just accepted it and tried to learn the new system so we could win..he always wanted the best for Iowa State University and I hate to see him go, Thank you Austen..Even though at times we really criticized you harshly, you still represented what it meant to be a cyclone, i hope only the best for you in the future.

Re: Favorite Arnaud Moment....
I guess my moment is more of an attribute but just the way he'd run through the line with no disregard for anything in front of him...He drug people 3-4 yds...People really underestimate that skill of having a QB/FB....
