Wally is easily one of the top 30 assistants in the country. This guy really likes Herman. I'm glad he's here. His offense frustrates me greatly sometimes but I feel bad judging him until he gets a QB of his own to run his offense.
Perhaps true, but I think he's a bit high at 24. If they start playing in the top half of the big XII offenses in a year or two, then I'd agree with the ranking.
It's not a ranking of assistant coaches at all, it's a list of assistant coaches who have good shots at getting head coaching jobs. Herman isn't even the best coordinator at ISU, but he's young, smart and had a lot of success before. They probably expect him to have more success here. A lot of this is based off of his reputation more than what he's done here.
Norm Parker was not on that list either. I didn't go over that list with a fine tooth comb but most on it were relatively speaking the 'Young Guns' of college coordinators and assistants.
