Big 12 Officiating
After reading Chris' report card, he points to the Big 12 officiating last night. This is the worst I have ever seen. The illegal substitution no call was absolutely pathetic last night. There was also the pass by Tiller that was ruled a fumble when his arm was clearly going forward, no review. Once again, I would be suprised if Latimer's jersey was not ripped, I counted 6 holdings that were missed sitting in Section 8.

Re: Big 12 Officiating
The substitution call seems like it was a mistake. Tiller's play was clearly a fumble. I thought one of the PI's could have been called, but the two most controversial ones were very close.

Re: Big 12 Officiating
I thought there might have been a crucial missed hold on the Missouri fake punt. However, the Tiller play was indeed a fumble. On the replay you can see the ball actually go backward and deflect forward off the defender's helmet.

After watching the "late hit" on Nebraska last night and seeing the officiating in our game, I'm 70% convinced the fix is on to keep NU out of the Big 12 title game.

They'll beat Colorado to get into the title game but last night I told one of my best friends who's a Husker to expect anything and everything to go against them in Dallas. The Big 12 does not want Nebraska going to the Fiesta bowl

Re: Big 12 Officiating
Not saying it is justice for the refs to go after Nebraska but then again Nebraska is the reason why the conference almost split up and the refs would have lost their jobs.
“I told you, I don’t care if you’re black or white. I don’t care if you’re rich or poor. I don’t care where you come from, whether it’s Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I don’t care about any of that… But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads -
Re: Big 12 Officiating
These refs were beyond pathetic. There were atleast 5 missed PI calls. Lattimer got held every play by 77(****** from Iowa who thinks its cool to go to missouri?), even the roughing the passer on Latt he was held, and would have gotten there on time had he not been held. They kept the clock running in the fourth when we clearly were tackled out of bounds twice, then they wound the clock as fast as they could when we got a first.

Re: Big 12 Officiating
I agree, the missed PI calls were the worst from what I can tell (could just be a biased fan talking), but the Tiller play was a fumble, unfortunately.

Re: Big 12 Officiating
the one that gets me and i may just be nitpicking is the fourth down fake punt by mizzou and there was sandvig in between two players in white and they were clearly holding him and he could have clearly gotten that punter for a loss...what the heck was the ref looking at? i watched that play several times durin a commercial (thanks dvr!) and it was clearly holding.
this was a poor attempt at officiating but i do agree that the nebby game was far worse than ours. i am suprised that bo hasn't popped that vein in his head or had a heart attack yet.

Re: Big 12 Officiating
Yeah, there was some very clear holding on that fake punt, I could even see it watching an online feed.

Oh yeah, I was screaming when the clock continued to run when it was clear our guys were out of bounds. With that said, I thought we did a horrible job of clock management in the 4rth quarter. I would have like to see more of a sense of urgency earlier. While the clock was running they were taking way to much time. Of course when the got to the line they stopped a couple of times and looked at the sideline like they do. Oh well.

Don't complain about the refs. You sound like Pelini.

Re: Big 12 Officiating
Seemed to be more than the normal in missed calls...but keep in mind that I'm viewing it from the stands, and not from the field.

Re: Big 12 Officiating
My favorite was ISU 3rd and 3, called for false start and, after marching off 5 yards, ISU ended up with 3 and 9.

Re: Big 12 Officiating
The most aggregious game is always replaced by the refs in the next loss. I will say that traveling should have been called on the Mizzou punter slide
