Hey, if CPR's got the coins to run a fake special teams play almost every game this year, maybe he's got the donuts to approach one of the best offensive minds in modern history. Leach does have an Iowa connection, coaching at Wesleyan! :jimlad:

Let's clean house on the offensive side.
Let's recruit better talent on the offensive side.

Why would he leave, his son is here and he is going to have one hell of a D next year.
Re: Football Coaching Staff Next Year
I think Wally retires a Cyclone and Shane steps right in.

I hope hes as good as his father
Re: Football Coaching Staff Next Year
With all due respect to those who know a heck of a lot more than I do, I hope we keep the entire staff - both offense and defense!!
Re: Football Coaching Staff Next Year
I hope like hell we find a new receivers coach.
Re: Football Coaching Staff Next Year
I hope we keep all the Assistants too. Many of our problems were because of lack of talent at those positions. My guess is that Bobby Elliot has probably been gauranteed the Defensive coordinator position once Wally retires.

Agree with this. The lack of development has been alarming. This probably has a lot to do with inaccurate QB's and below average pass blocking but the receivers, outside of Jake Williams, did not show us much this year.

For those who want Herman gone, I would like some suggestions as to who you would hire.
Steve Loney...

I don't think the problem is the receivers coach I think it is the receivers. Need better talent at the position, bottom line.
Re: Football Coaching Staff Next Year
The secret of building a program is keeping the coaching staff together. Minnesota under Brewster constantly changed, and it flopped. Herman will prosper with a QB who grew up in the spread. We will have that next season.

Re: Football Coaching Staff Next Year
If you want to be successful at a school that has to develope players you have to keep the staff together as others have said. CPR will do the right thing, what ever that is.
Re: Football Coaching Staff Next Year
If you want winning in Ames, you want the whole staff retained....simple as that.
