Football Coaching Staff Next Year
Are we going to be able to keep the staff that PR has put together?

Re: Football Coaching Staff Next Year
Given how we finished out the season, I can't see anybody other than Wally (who has made it clear he's at ISU until he retires in a few years) getting offers to move up to a school that can pay better than Iowa State.

Who would be worried about losing?

Let's clean house on the offensive side.

ya clean house. and start over again. jfc take a pill. its the second year of a system that has been run with 2 other coaches players.
i realize that wally has worked wonders given the circumstances, but the odds of that happening at a school like ours is slim to none. gotta give em 2 more years at least-whether you like it or not.

This. People seem to forget that GC was recruiting to run a power running offense (that is why Bo transferred here from a spread offense at Florida). If we struggle in offense after this staff's players are in the system, then look at making changes.
Take a look at what happened in Minnesota. One of the reasons that Bottom Brew is gone is because he had 3 different OC's (and different offenses in general) in his time there. He would get recruits to commit, then change the OC 2 months before signing day. Made no sense.

The only two that could/should be gone are Wells and Bleil with A LOT of pressure on Herman.

I could see the WR coach (Luke Wells, I think), not being brought back next year. Otherwise, the staff stays intact.

Even the great, powerful and God-like Money dropped some (or more than some) passes.
Hope like hell we can retain the defensive staff. To say they worked miracles this season is a vast understatement.

Let's clean house on the offensive side. Yes, do this. It the obvious way to build a program.
For those who want Herman gone, I would like some suggestions as to who you would hire.

"I think that people are responding to someone standing up and saying this is what we want to do and let's not be afraid to go for it,'' Pollard said. "I think Iowa State has a very conservative, modest background. We never pound our chest and say `Let's do it.' It's OK to set a goal. You can't do it if you don't say what you want to do. You should be proud of it.''

Re: Football Coaching Staff Next Year
It would seem that this is Wally's last job. I hope we can keep it another couple years before he hangs it up. Unbelievable job he's done in 2 years. I can't imagine ever having a better defensive coordinator than him at Iowa State.
