shocking how little mention Klein & Knott get on here

Klen just had a incredible game against Mizzou and Knott has had a phenomenal year, yet hardly any threads or mention of them on here. What gives? Even Klatt during the broadcast said Knott should be Big 12 defensive player of the year. Both should be 1st team all Big 12.

Because their quality of playing leaves little to ***** about. (I'm dead serious)

They get a lot of praise in game threads but no dedicated threads because there is little to rip them for. Their futures are bright; I really like both these guys.

What really gets me is how much more they can improve. As good as they are and as many plays as they make, there are still times where they take bad angles or get off balance when in a 1on1 situations. They still have room for improvement and I think that is what impresses me about them so much.

I brag about Knott and Klein to my Hok friends all the time. Just not always on here.

They get plenty of recognition especially Knott. heck there was a thread asking if he would be All American. It will be interesting to see where they end up in Big 12 awards. Both were top five in tackles and Knott was #2 in fumbles forced. Knott was 6th in INTs and I think Klein was tied for 7th. stat lookers will undervalue them due to their lack of TFL and Sacks but we know that is due to our DL more than anything. I would guess Knott 1st or 2nd team and Klein honorable mention.

I really wish they had a D-line so they were forced to make so many plays. They're good now, they'll be awesome when they learn to not run themselves out of plays.

I wish the DL would eat up more blockers so they could make more TFL. It is amazing what they do considering they are usually having to fight off blocks or go around OL to make the tackle.

True, they don't give us much to rip on them. Perhaps the only thing I can think of is the way Klein was acting up after his excellent tackles late in the 4th quarter. He was doing his part, but we were losing, so he might want to dial it down a bit at times like that.

They both played well and were probably the most consistent players out of the starting 22.

If they continue to improve over the next couple years and if we can get a decent D-Line in front of them.. It's almost scary how good these guys could be

Two big "ifs" but with this staff I think its possible. Here's hoping..

we dont talk about them because they never mess up it seems like. on here we love to talk about what's not going well, and what we need to improve, and AK and Knott arent in those convos. I think they are without a doubt our 2 best defensive players. Knott is an animal. Klein is right up there with him. They will be amazing the next two years.

They mess up plenty. That's the best part. They have a lot of room to get better when they are already very good.

Try searching back a year through the CF threads to when they were recruited. Quite a few were pretty high on these two guys (myself included).

Those of us who paid attention then are not surprised by their abilities. There have been threads since then specifically about our LB corps and the future of it looking VERY good!
