    College Gameday

Did anyone watch College Gameday this morning when they play the "Coming to your city.." music skit by Big and Rich? Towards the end they were showing a bunch of different events from different games and they showed Alexander Robinson scoring a touchdown against Nebraska this year and he was handing the ball to what seemed like the camera. Did anyone else see this?

I apologize if I put this in the wrong spot.

Didn't watch it this morning, but that's pretty cool exposure for ISU!

And I believe you put this in the correct forum.

I've been meaning to watch the opening all season long to see the new video and missed again today. The full version of that song with the College Game day verse is #1 track on our tailgate music CD.

It's been on there the past couple weeks, but its still awesome. It's from when we scored on the wheel route to tie Nebraska.

If I could pick someone on the team for ESPN to show a highlight of, it's Arob. I'm gonna miss that guy next year.

So Craig James' argument is that TCU doesn't deserve the opportunity for a national title game because they didn't have the same scheduling opportunity that the 1-loss teams had?

Because they haven't been tested as much as the 1 loss teams. TCU is good, but they're not good enough to be in the title game.

BTW, I really hope this is Lee Corso's last year on Gameday, for his sake and ours. After that Youngstown documentary, the first thing he says is "yeah, but they forgot one guy......Jim Tressel." Hey Lee, Jim was all over that documentary, too.

I know his argument, but the way he used the idea that they don't get one opportunity because they didn't have the other opportunity.

I think TCU is good enough to beat any of them, and they're undefeated. They're doing everything they can do to get there.

How do you know TCU is not good enough?

We don't know it for sure, but the point is that there are more deserving teams out there who have battled through much more grueling schedules than TCU has. I realize they can only play who they have on their schedule, and that sucks, too bad. They're now working on upgrading that schedule by changing conferences, but it won't help them this year.

We see this same damn debate every year. Unless you survive a tough schedule, you don't deserve to be in the title game. That's it. The 1 loss teams have still survived a much tougher schedule than TCU has while running through patsies all year.

But the 1-loss teams didn't survive. They all lost, so that loss shouldn't help them this year.

It isn't TCU's fault that their conference doesn't measure up to what they can do. Once conferences looked at reshuffling, they took advantage.

But the only way we find out for sure is to give them a shot. I think a TCU-Oregon game would be great to watch.

    Re: College Gameday

People care too much about a national champion. If people gave it up, we'd never have to worry about all the playoff talk.

Those 1 loss teams lost to teams that were each better than any of the teams TCU played. They're not making it this year, and they shouldn't. Maybe they'll make it next year.

Agreed, it makes me never want to go to Youngstown, OH. I wonder if that town is jam packed with a-holes
