Re: Pitt Doesn't Want Rhoads
CPRs dad was our HS football coach. The two are close. Right now, Cecil can come to games and be on the sideline with his son, yet make it home shortly after to be with his ailing wife. CPR will likely want to be close to him for the next few years as his mom's health is not great. I don't think money will lure him at this stage of his life. His salary, living in central Iowa isn't shabby. If he keeps the momentum going, he knows he'll be rewarded.
I'd love to see him turn down Pitt...go ahead and make that offer Pitt, we'll never hear about it if they do.

It doesn't really matter if the fans want him or not. Minnesota fans didn't want Kill and that's who they got.

Look at the loyalty Cael Sanderson showed ISU, and he is an alum getting well compensated
If we want to keep CPR long term we're going to have to pay the man more. That means people stepping up in the donation area, even ear-marking for football coach salary. You can believe this or not but I have a friend on that is very high up in the Cyclone wrestling club board and this person stated that all Cael wanted was a call from Jamie himself and he never got that. Since he didn't get this I imagine he didn't feel very wanted.

Well I hope Paul gets a raise and an extension out of this. He deserves it.

Why would Steve Pederson want Rhoads? He will want a high profile guy, and Rhoads is not high profile.

Re: Pitt Doesn't Want Rhoads
here's a thought. everyone on this board - get your annual Cyclone Club donation amount figured out for 2011. Then, add 10% to that donation, and call/email Jamie and tell him that you are adding that 10% to your 2011 donation to help do what you can to keep the current football coaching staff intact.
speaking of keeping the football staff intact, anyone see those elusive scoreboard renderings yet.....
