Recruits in town
I was out at Aunt Maude's last night and I saw CPR and Bobby Elliot walk in. Latter I found out that they were hosting 2 or 3 recruits.
Is it typical for recruits to come into town during the middle of the week?

Re: Recruits in town
there was a thread on mid week recruits in town.

Did some one tell you that they were hosting 2 or 3 recruits, or did you just make that assumption based on the number of kids you saw? Could have been the recruit and 1 or 2 players hosting the recruit??

Re: Recruits in town
Each recruit would have 1-2 hosts, keep that in mind. The last thing they would want to do is set a single recruit down with 2 adult coaches.

Re: Recruits in town
Thats fair, just thought I would pass the info on. At most it shows that CPR is still in ames working hard and not interviewing for other jobs.

Re: Recruits in town
Just get them out of town early Sunday before the brutal cold weather gets here.

Re: Recruits in town
CPR and Bobby Elliott were in California checking out juco players in LA and SF the day after Thanksgiving. Looks like they had a good trip.

Its funny that they still take the recruits to Aunt Maude's. I love the place but ever since my playing days they have been taking recruits there.

Re: Recruits in town
I don't think he said they were taking them there...
Personally, that's where I'd take a date, not a high school kid. And no "butt dragging".

Yeah, but isn't Aunt Maudes kind of what Ames is all about? I guess I thought so. Maybe I'm out of touch. I did see some at the bowling alley which I think it actually a pretty decent recruiting tool. Perfect games is a pretty fun place.

Or so I have read.
