QB Competition for 2011 season
With the returning QBs in Capello and Tiller and the incoming prospects in Jantz and Barnett I see there being a good QB competition next year. I have no idea at this point, I would say Tiller is the front-runner at this point in time but who knows come September. I am happy with CPR and his staff for bringing in these guys because I think no matter who the QB will be, the will be the best we have because they are going to have to work for it.

I'm kinda hoping that Jantz is a beast and starts next season. It may cause deflection(s), but it is what it is.

% of being starting QB in 2011 game 1.
Jantz 45% Barnett 35% Capello 20% Tiller 0%.

I don't think I would rank Tiller that low yet. Not saying he will start. They're all gonna have to work hard for it though which is why I'm excited.

Arnaud on the radio last week thinks Tiller is going to be the man next yr. It is his job to lose.

Barnett's game seems to fit Herman's system well, so I sort of hope its him.

Jantz 45% Barnett 35% Capello 20% Tiller 0%.
Wow 21, wow. I don't really know what to say but wow. You give the only guy on the team with starting experience 0% chance of starting? And the guy who couldn't win a starting job in the WAC you give the highest chance?

Jantz 45% Barnett 35% Capello 20% Tiller 0%. 0% chance for the guy that has been here the longest and has 2 career starts? I can see why you think he might not start, but you are basically saying he has No Chance, which is just crazy.

Re: QB Competition for 2011 season
I really believe it's gonna come down to Jantz and Tiller. It is interesting to go out and get another JUCO QB if he isn't going to get some PT but I believe either Jantz will come in and perform well or he is gonna light a fire under Tiller's *** and Tiller will rise up and play some good football next year for us at the QB spot.
What I don't want to see is something like when we alternated back and forth the first couple games in 08 with Bates and Arnaud both taking snaps in the game

Re: QB Competition for 2011 season
Let's face it gents, if Tiller comes out on top as the starter next season, we are in trouble. We're also going to be lucky to win 4 games. I like the kid, but IMO, he's a WR first and foremost.

I disagree, I think whoever comes out as the starting QB will deserve it and do a good job. Maybe not great but good enough. I also think we will win more thn 4 games.

I meant to say if JT is QB, then we'd be lucky to win 4 games. Tell me what in his past makes you think that he is good enough to power a Big 12 team.
