They tried to get Dorleant, but he picked the first school he made an official visit to after he decommitted. He would have been good somewhere in our secondary. I still think Deon Broomfield can gain 10-15 more good pounds and be a really good free safety for us.Quote:

Sure, but at what point does need outweigh talent? You can't keep signing "talented" WRs at the expense of the DL. Even if said DL isn't super talented, at some point, you just need bodies. I look at DE...Maggitt and Neal have had plenty of snaps to prove what they can do. They're not going to magically turn into Big 12 starting talents in an offseason. And I think that we've seen that having no pass rush will kill a defense in our league. I think that JC DE is a major need. I agree. IMO WR eval has been lacking. I thought that Gary and Young would be seeing major minutes by the end of this season...Gary had VERY limited snaps and Young redshirted. They keep bringing in more and more WRs and none can beat out starters who most here see as average at best. They really need Reynolds and Lenz to step up this year.Quote:
