    James said bring them on

    James got home late Tuesday night after driving 16 hours and he and i had a good conversation about all this Q/B controversy,he was to wired to go to sleep. Anyway he said no one is taking his spot at starting Q/B. He said he knows he has to earn it and that is what he intends to do!!.I was a little shocked is this being cocky or confident?? But he insists they will ot be able to keep him off the field he says he knows all the defenses and the plays and wishes he would have got a shot in a couple games(He brags he would not be home, but preparing for a bowl game. Oh well just wanted to share with you his thinking,I guess time will tell. Anyway our family wishes all of you a safe and merry christmas and happy new year!!

    QB's need to have that "give me the ball" attitude that all great starting pitchers have in baseball. Attitude and confidence is HUGE in athletes and is one of the "intangibles" people talk about. If you get good, they call it moxy.
    The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

    I hope so. With that attitude all this is going to do is make them better players and the team better for it. I hope he maintains that passion through the whole season.

    ISU needs an impact player at the QB position. I'm looking forward to spring practice to see how the competition plays out.

    I love ISU, but I want the guy who gives us the best chance to win at the starting QB position.

    Love it. Go get em James. We need that attitude at every position and I think that is becoming more of a reality.
