what happened to the little running back from norman, oklahoma???
what school did he finally chose to transfer???

i thought he was a decent kid and a good little back. did he transfer because woody and johnson were ahead of him on the running back roster??

Beau Blankenship transferred to Ohio University. Word was that he was buried bit on the RB depth chart but was projected to contribute a lot on special teams (as he did in '09) but wanted to play more than just ST.

Good kid, just couldn't find the PT here. Wish him the best at Ohio U.

played high school football in norman,but was recruited to be a cyclone.hope that answers your question...

I think you misunderstood his comment. He was saying he thought it was ironic that a kid from Norman, OK (site of the University of Oklahoma, a.k.a."OU") ended up at a school also known as "OU" that isn't Oklahoma.

I knew he left, but I didn't realize it was for Ohio. Does Frank Solich have a connection to Iowa State? He nabbed Bates from us, too. Maybe it's just a coincidence.

Bates went to OU because of Solich's connection with Nebraska, Bates' dad played at Nebraska.

There is a connection from Ohio to ISU, the D Coordinator is Jimmy Burrow who coached at ISU as well as Ames High and Nebby.
