wow never knew iwcc had that good of football players, and i can see that some of those players who have already signed we actually did recruit

We recruited Ebert for sure. Don't think we wanted their QB. The other DT and DB are the only other players I would think would be desirable.

I would like to get kind of a pipeline going from Iowa Western if they continue their success.

I agree. Also, IWCC is ranked 11th in the nation ( NJCAA) and their QB a Stoudt had 8 D-1 offers.....Signed with Ole Miss. That's the difference in playing in the NJCAA and where Jantz comes from. Had Jantz put up those type of numbers against true D-1 competition he would have had more offers. But playing at the College of San Fransisco is just like playing high school football. That's why I have to see him compete with our D-1 QB's. I hate to burst some bubbles on this blog.

With a program like IWCC in the works, I definitely think ISU needs to get a recruiting line going with them. If they produce the caliber of players that they did this year, and even if ISU just grabs a few of them it would be very nice addition each year...

All you seem to do is run Jantz down. The difference between Jantz and the other two ( Mettenberger and Stoudt) is that those two played last season meaning they were already on teams radar. Jantz came out of nowhere, and JUCO QBs are not highly recruited by most teams unless they are very good. Most teams will not look at JUCO QBs because they have players on the team already that they are developing. QB is the most important position on the field, and most players will need time to learn the system. That is why you do not see many JUCO QBs signing D-1 offers, especially BCS conference schools. Quit running someone down because they didn't play in the ''superior'' JUCO league.

It's not like he was that highly touted. Next best offer was Kansas. Those were his only two BCS offers. Jantz is rated higher by rivals. Not saying he is going to be better or worse, but the gap between who was recruiting them wasn't THAT huge. Also I think we probably got a pretty good look at him and never offered so we must've liked what Jantz has to offer more anyway.

Stoudt is a pocket passer. In a spread offense like ISUs, you need a QB who can run. In a spread offense like Oklahoma's for instance, you don't need a QB who can run.

Agreed. Plus Jantz came our of basically nowhere, his recruiting period wasn't very long. However, as soon as people got wind of him, they seem to be pretty impressed.

i don't think he is running him down, just saying he has to see it with his own eyes against the competition we will be playing, and i don't have a problem with that.

he is, however, sounding like a broken record as he says it in every thread that jantz name is mentioned.l

What's wrong with consistency? You all are doing the same thing with your posts.

you all? i haven't said anything about jantz yet! haven't seen him play, haven't watched his video, and i don't claim to be an expert analyst of high school football in texas to compare him to anyway. you come off as a matter of fact that you seem to know more then most on here, but realistically i doubt you do.

Whatever, I'm not going to argue about this with you. Not every good football player come out of premier Texas schools. That's not how it works and there is talent elsewhere. Period.
