What kind of crowd would ISU bring if they were playing in the Rose Bowl?
Kind of curious looking at the aerial shots at this year's rose bowl with wisky and tcu.
TCU seems to have brought quite a few fans. Not as many as wisconsin but still quite a few for a private school with not a lot of success in their program's history.
Rose Bowl seats 90-95k. How many would be sporting cardinal and gold? (of course it is all hypothetical, an off-season specialty)

I think if we REALLY stretched out the fan base, we could maybe get 30K in the stands

I feel like we would bring a pretty decent sized crowd. Everyone has a big crowd at the Rose Bowl.

35-40K. ISU fans would come out of the woodwork if ISU make any type of BCS bowl.

The correct answer is 40-50K. Probably pretty close to 50K. I've never been to a bowl game in my life but I wouldn't even have to think about making that trip. I think some of you guys cut our fanbase short. We may not like watching Mizzou in November but we show up to bowl games.
Btw, Erin Andrews is smoking hot.

We would bring 0 fans. Why? Because the Rose bowl is not a Big 12 affiliated bowl. It is a Big 10 - Pac 10. Either It will be Big 10 vs Pac 10, or At Large vs Big 10/Pac 10.

We'll see how many we bring to the Fiesta Bowl next year.
The campaign starts now. November 6, 2012. -

Others who doubt this because of our current attendance numbers need to remember that if we were to make it to a Rose Bowl, it would mean that we had a spectacular season of no more than 1 loss and our stadium would be overflowing with fans by the end of the season. Fairweather fans would come out of the woodwork, as Dave said. They haven't had a reason to come out for a long time now.
I've never been to a bowl game (haven't had the resources to), but I would definitely go to a Rose Bowl.....I'd find a way to get it done, no question.
