Iowa State Football All-American Barry Hill Dead at 57
AMES, Iowa Funeral services are Friday in Boynton Beach, Fla. for former Iowa State All-American football player Barry Hill. Hill, 57, died Wednesday at Bethesda Memorial Hospital from complications from pneumonia. Hill, who lettered from 1972-74, is the Cyclone all-time career (21) and single-season (9) interception leader. Hill was inducted into the ISU Letterwinners Hall of Fame in 2006.
He was part of a recruiting class that included Keith Krepfle, Lawrence Hunt, Ike Harris and Jerry Moses, said former Iowa State head coach (1968-72) Johnny Majors. He was a terrific player to coach and was a very talented athlete.

That was a heck of a recruiting class.
Jerry Moses was the "Harrison Barnes" sort-of-speak of his day. Landing him opened the eyes of many around the country.
