What do you think of him 13? I honestly think he could be a safety if we grad another outside receiver. I think he could be a darn good prospect back there.

    Re: Ruben Gonzalez Visiting

If we get Gonzalez and Babineaux I could see us moving Ruben to saftey. With all the recievers we are recruiting I'm curious who our staff wants first, and how many we are actually going to take. Maybe we are recruiting some of them as Saftey/Corner prospects?

Gonzalez would make for a big saftey at 6-3 200. He would have the size at SS, I would also assume he has the range. Maybe he's too good of a reciever prospect to move though, considering our problems there. I think we are good at Saftey for a couple years with Givens, Washington, and Broomfield (I think he's gonna be a good one).

I think there needs to be a safety here somewhere. I think Bundrage is close to the top of our list. They are certainly looking for at least one bigger receiver. I happen to like Cedric Gilbert as well because of his size, but that's just me. The thing about Gilbert is he could be a huge safety if he has the speed, otherwise he could possibly move to linebacker.

Dang you guys are good. I was thinking safety also with Shane Burnham recruiting him. That's some nice size and speed for strong safety.

We have Darian Cotton who I'm guessing is a Saftey. Jared Brackens is also a LB/S tweener. I'm not sure we need another saftey unless Josh Grady wants to move there.

Bundrage is 6' 2''. If you want a big S look no further than Jared Brackens. Kid looks to be taller than what he is described of on rivals and is built well. I'm all in for a big strong safety. I cant remember which team (I think NC State or Maryland) had a big 6' 4'' S who was a bigtime playmaker. Loved watching that kid play.

TJ McCullough is listed at 6'3" and 210 and presently up at Ellsworth Community College. Hope he keeps his academics in order and makes it to Ames.

With the way sign and place has gone I wouldnt count on him coming to Ames. Would love to see him but I'm not setting my hopes too high.

I would still like another guy at FS who is taller than 6'0. That where I could see Ruben being an option. I don't see it happening, but it was just something I thought of.

Shane recruits that area. Initially, recruiting is pretty much just geographical. It usually doesn't have to do with position. I still think he's a WR but the possibility would be there to switch.
